WORK EXPERIENCE

DOLE Package Foods Quality Assurance Associate 4/2013 present

• Comply with and enforce Safe Quality Food (SQF) code and ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety

Management Standards.

• Ensure that plant has passed “swab” test each day prior to releasing it for operation.

• Perform Pre Operational Sanitation Verification, Daily Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and

Daily Food Safety Audit, and Environmental Swabbing.

• Ensure that each production batch meets customer specifications by cutting out a production

sample and conducting appropriate testing on it.

• Ensure that production batch records meet company quality expectations relating to process and

content prior to releasing product for shipment to warehouse.

• Organize and maintain records, such as score sheets, data collection entries, spreadsheets,

specifications, outside company contacts, and any other department related documents and

reports as necessary.

• Collect quality records and score sheets for all incoming products and release products on time.

• Review and verify quality, manufacturing and sanitation records according to procedures and

policies.

• Use SAP to release product, hold product and maintain any other statuses as appropriate for the

products in the system, including special system releases.

National Air Guard Medical Laboratory Journeyman 9/2011 present

United States Air Force Medical Laboratory Apprentice Training 5/2010 9/2011

• Maintain records of all laboratory work performed and prepare specimens for shipment to various

military and civilian medical facilities.

• Performed collection, analysis, and test interpretation on requested specimen samples in

accordance with applicable Operational Instructions in all lab sections

CHEMISTRY

• Processed patient samples via the Siemens Dimension RXL MAX "2" analyzer

• Maintained operational integrity of the analyzer through daily/weekly/monthly Quality

Control/Assurance methods and equipment calibration/cleaning.

• Performed reagent calibrations with each new lot as well as daily QC to ensure reagent values

were within normal acceptable ranges.

• Used Advanced Instruments Osmometer 3300 Chemistry analyzer to perform osmolity testing.

HEMATOLOGY

• Processed samples using Beckman Coulter 750 & 500 Hematology Analyzers for Complete Blood

Counts, Cell Differentials, and Retic counts and STAGO Compact Analyzers for coagulation

studies.

• Demonstrated advanced understanding and ability by performing manual slide preps, WBC

differentials and morphology interpretation, sedimentation rate testing and crystal identification in

body fluid. Also performed manual dilution on specimens too viscous or concentrated to test.

• Maintained the operational integrity of the analyzers through daily/weekly cleaning, calibration,

and quality control methods.

BLOOD BANK

• Performed therapeutic phlebotomy on patients, handled the processing of both incoming and

outgoing shipments to include preparation and packing of units used for Presidential Support.

• Performed manual antibody screening/ identification using tube and gel methods and ABO/RH

testing

URINALYSIS

• Determined chemical levels in urine samples using Siemens Clinitek Atlas & Advantus 500

Urinalysis Analyzers.

• Performed microscopic crystal identification as well as pregnancy screenings and post vasectomy

semen analysis.

MICROBIOLOGY/PARISITOLOGY/SEROLOGY

• Conduct procedures necessary to identify bacteria and determine antibiotic sensitivity of

pathogenic microorganisms

• Inoculated various agars for suspected bacteria or fungi and observed for growth.

• Performed catalase, coagulase, susceptibility testing, staining and macroscopic/microscopic

examination to differentiate between Gram Positive or Gram Negative Cocci/Bacilli as well as

other pathogenic organisms.
