Contract position, representing Regional Mental Health Care London and St. Thomas for a duration of 6 months,
responsible for communications and public affairs overseeing the transition and opening of the new Southwest Centre for
Forensic Mental Health in Elgin County. Soft responsibilities include daily clippings packages, liaising with local media
and politicians, coordinating printed marketing materials and the production of several informational videos featuring
senior leadership members. Also an active member of the Legacy, New Beginnings, and Transformations boards.
December 2010 – January 2013 Media Relations – RBC Royal Bank, Head Office, Toronto, Ontario
Working directly with the Global Head of Media Relations in the Corporate Communications department of the Royal
Bank of Canada’s head office. Responsible for issues management (preparing and distributing issues statements to the
media) daily coverage reports, writing and distributing press releases, creating client-specific media lists, and
maintaining professional relationships with local and national media outlets, reporters, editors, and journalists. Also a
member of the enterprise Social Media team managing RBC’s Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn accounts. Soft
responsibilities include constant media monitoring, writing articles and newsletters for the RBC website, and maintaining

Responsible for aiding and participating in marketing and sales campaigns, preparing proposals and contracts for the
Director of Sales, monitoring and updating hotel website on a daily basis, provide weekly sales report, as well as
identifying, creating, and maintaining positive relationships with companies and business partners. Also worked directly
with clients such as VANOC, Resort Municipality of Whistler, and the International Bobsled, Luge, and Skeleton
Federation throughout the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games.
May – July 2009 Public Relations Intern – Four Seasons Resort, Whistler, B.C.
Member of the Four Seasons marketing and PR team working closely with the Director of Public Relations, Director of
Marketing, and Director of Sales. Responsible for attaining and tracking media coverage, creating, designing, and

Planning and teaching early childhood curriculums for infants, toddlers, and junior kindergarten. Responsibilities include

one on one with special needs children is also a primary responsibility.
2002-2007 Program Director/Counselor, Planet Kids, Milton, Ontario
Responsible for all children that attend the camp. Planning out a week at a glance for a specific age group. Organizing
the week, making it fun and enjoyable for the campers, as well as supervising all counselors on staff. One of two staff
members to be promoted from counselor to Program Director within one year of employment.
2003-2005 Lifeguard/Swimming Instructor, Town of Oakville, Oakville, Ontario
Responsible for all patrons in the pool area as well as creating a safe and fun swimming environment. Planning
classes and programs for swimming students and overseeing all students and instructors on a weekly basis. Interacted
with several media outlets following a safety related incident in May 2004.
