Cleveland Electric Illuminating (CEI)/Toledo Edison (TE), Davis Besse Nuclear Plant Refueling Outage

Support (Port Clinton, Ohio) – Lead Project Engineer – Catalytic Inc.

Led project engineer in support of the refueling outage at the 882-Mw Davis Besse Nuclear plant. Project

responsibilities included the overhaul of the large steam turbine generator (LSTG), turbine auxiliaries and spent

Responsibilities included development of engineering packages for clean-up and decommissioning activities at

Unit-2, Three Mile Island. Assignment included field work, containment entries, schedule updates and work

package development. Principle work included Unit-2 polar crane refurbishment, removal of damaged

equipment, and construction of various support decommissioning structures, supplemental craft supervision

and electrical coordination of support equipment. (1980)

Southern California Edison, Mojave Generating Station, Plant Upgrades (Laughlin, Nevada) – Project

Assignment included supervision of three (3) principle union disciplines at the Mojave Generating Station.

Supervised the Boilermakers, Ironworkers and Insulators during the complete overhaul of a vertical coal fired

boiler unit, including upgrades to the 1,580-Mw Steam Turbine Generator . (1979)

construction of a new security facility, containment transfer enclosure, high density spent fuel racks and piping

replacement, control rod repairs, spray ring upgrades and maintenance of stop/control valves on the Large

engineering submittal reviews, RFI’s, resolution of field issues, schedule coordination, as-built document, test

procedure development and plant commissioning. (1977 – 1978)
