Provided technical expertise & management support for the Caspian Sea
Export Pipelines. Inspection and construction included: pipelines, pump
station, tanks, coating, hot taps, and illegal hot taps repairs and in
service welding.
Welding Coordinator: Western Route Exports Pipeline (WREP) Crude Oil
Pipeline - Caspian Sea Region
Lead a team of inspector's for pipeline related projects on the Western
Route Exports Pipeline. Provided technical coaching, professional guidance
and team leadership by preparing inspection criteria and test requirements
that were job specific ensuring a successful outcome. Coordinated job
requirements, inspection activities and provided technical support for non-
conformance issues and managed the appropriate corrective action.
Tank Inspector (MARPOL Project): Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) Crude Oil
Pipeline - Ceyhan, Turkey
Responsible for overall welding and construction of oily water slop tanks
and gathering pipe for the Ceyhan Marine Terminal. Client's 3rd party
inspector ensuring tank work conformed to API 653 and gathering pipe to
ASME B31.3. Controlled contractors NDT practices by ensuring compliance
with ASME sec V, API 653 & ASME B31.3 code standards.
Pipeline Inspector: Western Route Exports Pipeline (WREP) Crude Oil
Pipeline - Tbilisi, Georgia
Primary role on the project as a third party inspector was to locate and
identify indications & anomalies found by the pigging tool and complete a
comprehensive pipe & coating inspection using API 570 as the inspection
standard. Manage the on-line repairs and hot taps using API 1104 / BP
specifications for the acceptance criteria. Onsite technical representative
for all pipeline related repair activities to include design, fit-up
welding, coating and NDT.
Piping Inspector: Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) Crude Oil Pipeline - Ankara,
Turkey British
Petroleum's on-site technical representative for the rehabilitation and
modification pipe work located at pump station's 1 & 3. Field and shop
inspection responsibilities included over sight of spool fabrication,
dimension control, coating inspection, hydrostatic testing and all NDE (VT,
PT, MT, UT and RT - Interpretation). Codes: ASME IX, B31.3, B31.4, API 1104
and BP specifications.
Welding Inspector: Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) Crude Oil Pipeline - Kardrili,
Turkey
3rd party welding & coating inspection performed on the re-route line-pipe
located at KP1007. Supported the BTC team with hot tap and stopple
operations, in-service welding, pneumatic and hydrostatic testing, welder
qualifications, coating inspection, and provided NDE oversight. Project
work was governed by code specifications API 1104, ASME IX, ASME V, ASME
B31.3, ASME B31.3 and BP specification for pipeline welding.

2007 - 2011
Operations Manager - Baghdad, Iraq
Managed a construction operation & maintenance contract that provided
labor, equipment, engineering and logistical support to the Army Corps of
Engineers. Lead a team of 70 US expatriate employees and 450 other-country
national subcontract workers. Responsible for multiple construction
projects that included man camps, heavy equipment maintenance shops,
communication towers, force protection and infrastructure upgrades.
Prepared project execution documents which included scopes of work,
schedules, diagrams/drawings, manpower and material for site managers to
ensure projects were performed as stated in the initial proposal. Managed
the safety program and was able to achieve over 2.5 million man hours
worked without a lost time accident.
Welding Inspection Manager: ICP-Reva III Armored Vehicles - Rustamiyah,
Iraq
Designed and implemented QC documentation for welding, fabrication, testing
and material control. Information was gathered in accordance with ISO,
AWS/ANSID1.1 Mill-STD 1941 and Mill-1261 for armored vehicles. Became the
liaison between contractor and client insuring project timeline and quality
was achieved. Onsite audits were conducted at the manufacturing facility;
documenting trends in welding procedures and fabrication techniques.
Performance data was compiled and briefed to the client on a weekly basis.

Owned and operated a welding, fabrication & inspection company. The company
specialized in design build projects that supported the oil & gas industry
(pipelines, drilling structures, land rig rebuilds, refineries, and oil
field support equipment) and building construction (structural steel, light
gauge, and pipe fabrication, and installation). Designed quality programs
and provided expertise in welding and bonding of metal components utilizing
the most traditional and contemporary processes including manual, semi-
Auto, MIG, and TIG processes. Teamed with prime contractors and provided
input on welding industry standards: AWS, ABS, NACE, API, ISO, ASTM, and
ASME. Worked with engineering and design teams to optimize structural and
pipe welding and fit-up. Assisted in failure analysis and applied
expertise to recommend and evaluate specific tests required to fully
understand failure issues. Produced welding procedures per project code
requirements and standards, provided on-site visual inspection with level
II testing (VT, PT, MPI, UT, RT,), and conducted welder qualification
practical exams.

Successfully drilled and built over 100 municipal, industrial,
agricultural, injection, and gas monitoring wells throughout the western
United States. Trained and proficient in drilling methods that include mud
rotary, air casing hammer, diesel casing hammer, drive and drill, auger and
air water injection. Operated and maintained drilling equipment, supervised
safety and motivation of drilling crew, coordinated daily activities with
the onsite engineer, and generated quality reports and data logs (daily
construction report, time sheets, payroll, inventory charge outs).

Educated students on the fundamentals of welding technology to prepared
them for a career in the welding and metal fabrication industry. Prepared
lesson plans and lectures for both beginning and advanced welding and
