Sir/Madam:
A pleasant day to you.
I am Ms. Fontanilla and my current occupation is a part-time writer. I
wish to apply for the position of writer as posted in www.sulit.com.ph.
Though I might have practiced another profession in this regard, I have
always had my interests and skills more on the journalistic side. Having a
degree in Nutrition as well as an initial experience of being an Editorial
Assistant, I even re-wrote one of my professors’ thesis and had it
published. Those previous experiences led me to believe your writer
opening is a match for my qualifications.
Some of the key skills that I now have which will help me succeed are:
*Communication skills:* I have read how important coordination is in this
field so as to produce an accurate and clear writing. I used to coordinate
with my teammates as well as our bosses in order to increase our accuracy
and production. I know I can carry this skill over and use it to the full.
*Research skills:* Writers are not contented with just using a public
library. They must also know how to use other sources to make their
reports more reliable. Such a skill being in the professional that I am, I
would be glad to bring it to the table also.
*Qualifications:* Even as a child, I used to work alongside my father who
is the journalist by profession. We really worked as partners. That is
why though I am no journalism graduate, I have an inclination for the field
of writing.
Apart from these, I have learned and have been trained to be both
results-driven and time-conscious. I would be delighted if you would
consider me for the post. I am available for an interview at their kind
request.
Very truly yours,
*Gabriela Fontanilla *
