Clinical Laboratory Analysis:
At St. Joseph Medical Center I worked in the Hematology Lab. I
worked as a PRN
and worked any shift whichever a Tech is needed. I did CBC and
differential, CSF and body fluids, semen analysis, ESR, manual retic count,
coagulation(PT, PTT, fibrinogen,
FDP), urinalysis. Troubleshoot instruments when needed. Instruments handled
were ADVIA120 and 220 for CBC and retic., Dade Behring BCS Coag system,
Bayer Urisys,
Midas slide stainer. I worked PRN from September 2006 to April 2013. I was
charged Tech when no Senior Tech is available. This hospital was formerly
named Christus St. Joseph Hospital. I worked full time from November 1997
to September 2006 on the night shift.
At UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, I worked in Core Lab, Hematology
and Chemistry. Instruments handled were Coulter LH750, Bayer Atlas, Iris,
Diagnostica Stago, Sysmex CA 6000, Vitros 950, Chiron 865, Gem Premier
3000, Abbott TDX,
Beckman Access 2, Sysmex XE5000. I troubleshoot instruments when needed. I
did CBC, urinalysis, coagulation, general chemistry, enzymes, drugs, blood
gas. I worked
full time from October 2007 to August 2009.
At Memorial Hermann Hospital I worked in Hematology. I did CBC
and differential, urinalysis, coagulation, CSF and body fluids. Instruments
handled are
Coulter STKS, Diagnostica Stago, Clinitek Atlas, Hitachi Iris, phase
microscope.
I worked full time from September 2006 to October 2007.
Supervision:
At St. Joseph Medical Center, I was Charged Tech when I worked
weekends and
night shift and no Senior Tech available. I was Senior Technologist at S &
M Laborato-
ries Limited Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. I supervised one Tech and one
clerk.
