This project was initiated by Select Customer to drive more new business quotes and issues from engaged

and unengaged agents by providing an improved user experience. It includes; Deliver Real-Time

Bindable Quotes (Automated Underwriting) at an increasing rate over time while maintaining

profitability, Deliver an Easy, Predictable experience for Underwriter Referred Quotes Provide support for

proprietary and non-proprietary access, enabling anticipated business strategies. In addition to an

improved agent experience, the project will reduce new business processing costs, overall, inclusive of

responsible architecture choices to realize short and long-term objectives to maximize delivery, stability

and lower total cost of ownership

DATAWAREHOUSE IN PROJECT:

The major source data comes in XML format. All the transactions happening in Front End application by

users will be stored as XML CLOB in a relational table. As part of Data and Reporting perspective,

warehouse team has to stage raw Source into staging tables and then move it to Dimension/Facts models

to generate BO reports out of it.

Validating XML data by parsing it and comparing it against staging table History data.

Validating the dimensional and Facts data against the Staging data tables as per the business and

Functional Requirements

Validating the BO reports by running it against the Dimension area to ensure the BO reports data

are matching the End Business Customers need

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Client project manager to define the project scope and schedule

• Manage end to end testing work for the DW distribution portfolio and lead the project team of

15 members to assign module/activity/tasks/deliverables

• Administrate project review, escalations, quality assurance, tasks’ completion, project

deliverables, customer interface & project status reporting for the project

PROJECT DESCRITION:

The Hartford Select customer User Interface application maintains all their USER Account and customer

related information in DB2 environment. As part of this project the all the Account information in DB2

are migrated into ORACLE environment. All the existing account information will be migrated in batch

process manner, and the customers with active policies in last five years are the key business data which

will be migrated immediately followed by others.

DATAWAREHOUSE IN PROJECT:

The DB2 data are loaded in Oracle Staging tables based on business requirements, and then data staged in

oracle tables are moved into various conversion tables. Initial bulk load have all the business priority

customers which would be migrated all the way from DB2 to Oracle Staging tables and then into

conversion tables. The data migration between oracle staging tables to conversion tables are extracted and

transformed using Informatica.

PROJECT DESCRITION:

The Data and Reporting Architecture inside Hartford was maintaining all the user level data and Policy

level transactions of various Line of Business in different environments like SuperDome and Teradata

until 2010. At 2010, The Harford Information Management team decided to move all their warehouse

databases into a Single Warehouse environment called Oracle – Exadata. This initiative step was initiated

then to improve daily load in warehouse 10 times faster than normal by utilizing 10 times more space in

new exadata server than earlier storage methodology.

DATAWAREHOUSE IN PROJECT:

All the Pricing and Policy premium details of Hartford were maintained in Teradata warehouse called

BKF-Business Knowledge Facility. All the databases objects like tables, views etc of BKF warehouse

were migrated oracle Exadata.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Involved in Test strategy preparation and Test case Preparation

• Prepared a checklist having the count of tables, views and constraints of Source Database BKF

and had it ready before the migration schedule
