I am a career oriented and focused Electrical/Control & Instrumentation Engineer qualified to MSc
degree level with a proven track record of managing assets daily by providing
Electrical/Control/Instrumentation engineering support & solutions and acting as a functional lead
for projects for a period spanning five years.
I have also taken up roles of a project planning officer, project engineer and rose through the ranks
to become a site manager for the construction of electrical power distribution substations for a
period spanning One and half years.

2005. Petroineos refining is a leading crude oil refiner with an annual turnover of $10billion; with

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
I am accountable for the co- implementation and co-development of Asset Care Policy within the
Hydrocracker area. I ensure regulatory compliance and implementation of new and changing
standards for the four units within the Hydrocracker area (Vacuum, Hydrogen, Hydrocracker
and Treatments).
I have shared responsibility for replacing asset valued at £500M, ensuring plant integrity for
over +1000 items of equipment, manage project improvements of £1M/Annum, annual asset
care expenditure of £5M and Annual asset NRR budget of £1M and annualized TAR scope of £3M
per annum.
I manage sub-contracts and carry out punching of projects prior to commissioning.
I provide technical support to the turnaround team and am equally responsible for the hy-
drocracker asset. I also perform duties as Electrical/Instrumentation engineer during TAR
maintenance activities.
I ensure that the MMS (Maintenance Management System-Maximo) database for all equipment
has the correct technical details, master maintenance documents and properly schedules pre-
ventive maintenance to achieve the Asset Care Policy.
I authorise repair programs resulting from inspection reports to ensure that the Asset plant in-
tegrity standards are delivered.
I work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure budget is adequate for the annual asset care im-
plementation plan within the power & distribution department. I meet with the delivery team
daily to troubleshoot and provide maintenance solutions to breakdown issues as it relates to the
plant.
I carry out tasks in relation to asset integrity management with other engineering teams (DCS,
process, mechanical, operations & planning).

I work closely with the DCS team and supervise electrical connections to ensure the design re-
quirements for SCADA systems are fully met.
I currently work with instrument manufacturers on selecting, calibrating and maintaining of re-
liable Instruments for the refinery.
I specify, size, select, install and maintain flow instruments such as ultrasonic flow meters, vor-
tex meters, orifice, venturi, swirl meter and coriollis mass flow meters
I specify, size, select, install and maintain point and continuous level instruments such as Radar,
nucleonic, displacer, hydrostatic pressure, magnetic level gauges etc.
I specify, size, select, install and maintain temperature instruments such as RTDs, thermocou-
ples, skin thermocouples and optical pyrometers.
I participate in SIL assessments and Root cause analysis (RCA) exercises and provide E/I support
in developing Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
I ensure control valves and ESD valves are correctly sized and meet their duty requirements.
I ensure trip test, planned maintenance, inspections and instrument calibrations are carried out.
I design motor control & power circuits and attend FATs to ensure design of equipment meet
specifications.
I develop instrumentation upgrades and design instrument loop drawings and termination
drawings.
I participate in alarm reviews and update P&IDs to reflect plant modifications.
I frequently act as nominated engineer for plant modifications and ensure instruments are cor-
rectly specified for hazardous area operation.
