Description

Over the years the demand for high quality,greater

efficiency and Auomated machines has increased in this

globalised world. This need has also being faced in

industrial sectors of power plants By using the concept of

SCADA system .the SCADA is an acronym that stands for

supervisory control and data acquisition.the powerplants

require continuous monitoring and inpection at frequent

intervels There are possibilities of errors at measuring

and various stage involved with human workers .so there is

need to develop a SCADA system. SCADA refers to a system

that collect data from various sensors at a factory,plant

or in other remote location and collecd data then sends

this data to a central computer which then manages and

control the operation

SCADA is term that is used broadly to control and

management solution in a wide range of industries.The most

important part,the brain of a SCADA system are performed

by the Remote Terminal Units(RTU) .The RTU consists of a

programable logic converter.

Here we are developing a SCADA system based on PIC

microcontroller to control operation of boiler and thus

implement its control over various parameters in boiler

used in industries.Various type of sensors such as

pressur,temperature&water level are incorperated in the

system.The system will acquire the data such as

pressur,temperature, water level etc and send this data to

a PC.if one the above mentioned parameter deviate from its

desired value SCADA system helps the corresponding

equipment to attain the normal value.
