My responsibilities include writing Standard Work Instructions (SWI) based on Operating Procedures
and Operating Criteria. Each SWI included all external specifications as pertaining to NAAMM and
ANSI Standards along with detailed information on how to operate the individual machine, packaging of
the product, quality checklist, safety requirements and any additional information required using
documented and visual guides. In addition to writing SWI’s for the Corporate Facility I also assisted
other QSAs throughout our North America and Canadian facilities in writing their SWIs, implementing
new Corporate Standard Documents, establishing or updating Calibration Records and also training these
individuals if they are new to the system. Within the Birmingham facility I am responsible for updating
all SWIs, calibrating all measureing instruments and updating the associated documents, auditing quality
check points, and training Team Members on any and all ISO and Quality Management Implementations
and changes.
-MRO Purchasing
Responsibilities include purchasing goods for the Birmingham plant either stock items for repairs or items
for capitol jobs. As with my other duties I am responsible for holding vendors accountable for quality
products while obtaining the best possible price for those items. Items range from plant janitorial
supplies, machine replacement parts, precision instruments for our Tool and Die Shop and raw material
used by both Tool and Die and Maintenance. I am also responsible for establishing new vendors, creating
Purchase Orders within our Oracle System, reporting spending cost directly to Mr. Corley, obtaining
quotes and auditing prices given by vendors based on list price versus our agreed price breaks.
-Site Safety Coordinator

Job duties include conducting weekley environmental audits, bi-weekley safety training classes for hourly
and salaried Team Members within the plant, conducting monthly safety audits and following up on the
completion of all items discovered. My responsibilities also include investigating accidents should one
occur within the facility and completing the required documents. I am also responsible for scheduling
and recording the minutes of the company and union Safety Committee Meeting. Through working with
Mr. Thurber I have been fortunate enough to be certified to teach and train our Team Members in First
Aide and CPR through the National Safety Council. Upon completing the course each Team Member is
certified and presented a certificate of certification.
