SUMMARY
I am a motivated individual with a passion on science and research. I have a total of
three years of international experience in life science research both in academic and
industrial research. I am looking for an opportunity to obtain a responsible and
challenging position with a progressive, growth-oriented organization to further
enhance and utilize my skills.
EDUCATION
Amity University, Gurgaon Haryana India Sept 2011- July 2013
Master of Technology in Biotechnology
Thesis project: Evaluation of In-Vivo Anti cancer potential of Gefitinib using Human skin carcinoma
Xenograft model in Athymaic nude mice (7 months).
Gefitinib inhibits epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) signaling in target cells. My studies have
shown a decreased tumor growth rate and when Geftinib is introduced by oral dosing in self-made
carcinoma xenograft model. The tumor almost disappears in a week.
Overall score: 73%
The final mark for thesis: 9.7 (out of 10).
Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Uttar Pradesh, India Sept 2005 – July 2009
Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology
Research project title: Production of Alpha Amylase by Trichothesium roseum in solid state and
submerged fermentation system from agriculture waste (12 months).
Overall score: 63%
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
KFRC (krishna institute of medical sciences Hyderabad) India Sept 2014-Present
I am working invitro lab in molecular genetics lab. My main work involves in the genotyping through
RFLP and study of gene resistance of clopidogrel on cardiology diseases.
Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Jan 2014 – August2014
Research Assistant
My work involves over-expression and knockout of N-WASP protein on A431 cancer cell line and
conversion of normal mouse embryonic fibroblast in to the cancerous associated fibroblast through
using of TGF beta invitro lab. I have developed good knowledge animal and human cell culture, mice
handling, dosing (oral, i.v, i.p ), surgery as well as molecular biology techniques like pcr, RT-Pcr, gel
electrophoresis, western blotting, cloning, sequencing, genotyping by PCR, cell transfection and
transduction through lentiviral.
Oncoquest Ltd., New Dehli, India Aug 2013 – Jan 2014
Cytotechnologist
Worked on the Molecular Cytogenetics (FISH work on BCR-ABL, PML/RARA t, ALK), RT-PCR.
Developed good theoretical and practical knowledge of FCAs and karyotyping. Experience in
handling cancer blood samples, bone marrow tissue, cell tissue culturing and harvesting, dropping,
G-banding.
Dabur Research Foundation, Ghaziabad, India Jan 2013 – July 2013
Research Assistant
I carried out my Master thesis research project at the pharmacology division both at in-vitro and in-
vivo labs. Additionally, my duties included maintenance of a cancer cell line and making of xenograft
model for cancer studies. Worked on animal surgery and the H & E staining, grossing, tissue
processing, embedding, section cutting and staining. Gained experience in mouse and rat handling.
Jubilant Life Sciences, Uttar Presh, India Jul 2009 – Jun 2011
Research Assistant
My work involved isolation of impurities of APIs by Different separation techniques (column
chromatography) HPLC, TLC, FTIR, UV and spectroscopy.
SUMMER TRAINING
Mother dairy TM, India. Jun 2008 – Jul 2008
Production of milk.
National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, India May 2008 – June 2008
Plant tissue culture.
Narinder Mohan Hospital Ghaziabad, India Jul 2004 – Aug 2004
One month training in the blood bank. Learned ELISA,HIV, HBsAg, and blood group testing.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
FISH, Karyotyping, Genotyping by Pcr, RT-PCR, agarose gel electrophoresis, Molecular Cloning,
Western Blotting,DNA Sequencing, Transfection, lentivirus infection transduction, Transformation
and Maintenance of mammalian cells culture, Hand on experience on animal handling, dosing and
surgery of rats, mice and hamster, HPLC, FTIR.
Two days training on protein modeling and Drug Design at Amity University (Nov 2012).
Good knowledge of the bioinformatics software’s which are used in the drug designing.
