Summary Seeking a challenging PCB Designer position where I can
enhance my skills and contribute to the success of a
companies engineering team. I have been recognized by my
peers for producing high quality designs, being detail
oriented and for having a strong work ethic that enabled
project schedules to be completed on time.
Professional May 1999 - July 2014
experience Motorola Solutions, Schaumburg, IL
PCB Layout PCB Designer II
Experience
7 years Cadence Allegro (16.5) PCB Editor and Schematic
Capture.
8 years Mentor Graphics Board Station (8.2) and Auto
Router.
10 years Valor (9.0)
Experienced in telecommunication dense double sided
multi-layer boards up to 16 layers having RF, digital,
analog and mixed circuitry. Also have experience on power
supply and cavity boards, as well as HDI, fine pitch BGA,
controlled impedance and differential pairs with matched
trace length routing. I have done backplanes, flex
circuits and cables. Experienced with Allegro concurrent
design, re-use blocks and modules. Modified Cadence
schematics as needed.
Organized all meetings for each project. Created
manufacturing files for the board vendors, and responded
to follow up questions. Did the documentation and post
processing of files needed by the factory and supporting
groups.
Primary checker of other designers' layout work to make
sure there were no errors, and it met department and
manufacturing quality and dfm standards.
Mentored designers with less experience. Trained another
group of designers to use Valor for checking. Also trained
them how to compare and view circuit discrepancies,
preventing future lost board spins.
Managed the department ISO documents by editing existing
ones, or creating new ones.
Was an ISO 9001 auditor for the Quality Organization,
auditing all manufacturing and support groups for the
factory.
Saved the company out sourcing costs by organizing
Schematic Capture training for PCB Designers. We then
re-created schematics for Cadence boards done in other
software, so they could be modified using Cadence Allegro
and standard component libraries.
Prevented the loss of hundreds of board and schematic
files, by coordinating the transfer of data from a remote
design centers failing local server to the main company
server.

working properly, bringing them back on-line when they
malfunctioned.
Communicated daily with TSE, relaying any current
problems.

Multicoupler kits. Built Power Supply kits.
