1/2012- present Covanta Field Services
I am hired as a Journeyman, code welder. My job description as
follows.
Set up job area, run leads, extension cords, set up tools, in and
outside the boiler.
Demo starts when the cut line has been established. Tools used for
demo are track saws, cutting wheels, and arc gouging. The next
elevation is to hang rigging ready to fly panels. Once panels are
removed the next elevation is to prep pre existing panels. Tools
that I have used are peel backs, Mill Hogs, High Speed, and
grinders. The next elevation is to install in the new panels. Once
the panels are all inn then I go ahead and fit the panels together
to be welded out. When they are all welded out The welding
inspector will write off the welds or call for repairs to be done.
