Objective To be able to pursue my passion in making a difference for people with disabilities in any
form of environment and to gain invaluable life experience.
Experience Cumberland Reading & Education Centre 02/2008 – 12/2008
I was trained in their specialised program to help tutor people with dyslexia or any form of
reading disability. I also tutored people that needed help in other subjects like Mathematics
and other forms of English. The age of students varied from six right through to middle-aged
adults
Coles (Filler) 2005 – 11/2008
At Coles I started as a shelf stacker in the grocery section before moving to the dairy section
and was also trained for use in the deli and bakery section and collecting trolleys. I was
always versatile and helped out where needed, coming in at late notice and working
where ever I was needed in the store.
Vikings Futsal Association 11/2008 – 02/2011
Vikings Futsal is a national sporting organisation that arranges club, state, national and
international competitions, tournaments and tours. During my time with them I was a
Northern NSW development officer and I was responsible for running local competitions and
tournaments, I was also the selector of representative sides. With this my duties included
handling money, keeping records of it and banking it, I also had to create training
schedules for all the representative sides and was a tour leader on two occasions looking
after sixty plus players each time. I have also coached multiple representative sides.
Northern Inland Futsal 02/2011 – 06/2011
This was the same Development role that I had with Vikings Futsal but under a new
employer. Northern Inland Futsal is an independent business that is a member of Northern
NSW Football and Football Federation Australia, which is the national governing body.
Caringa Enterprises Ltd. 08/2011 - Present
I am currently employed as a residential support worker for clients with Disabilities in a
residential home. I currently care for 6 clients ranging in age from 21 through to 54. The types
of Disabilities I am working with involve High and Low level Autism, Tourette’s Syndrome,
Down Syndrome and Spina Bifida. My duties involve; Stoma Care, personal care, cooking,
cleaning, shopping and driving. I have been the key worker for a 30-year-old Aboriginal
male with Down Syndrome for over 24 months now. We also care for a client who is currently
going through palliative care. I have also completed training in Manual Handling, Stoma
Care, Catheter Care and Workplace Health and Safety Training. I am also the current
Workplace Health and Safety Representative for the Coffs Harbour Team.
Coffs Coast Derby Dolls 04/2013 - Present
I am also the current President of the Coffs Coast Derby Dolls, which is a not-for-profit
sporting league for Roller Derby that now incorporates Men, Women and Juniors. In my role I
conduct regular committee meetings, oversee the running of home league games,
finances and all media releases. Organise other fundraising events, sponsorships and
memberships. I also help run the league forum and website.
Education Bachelor of Education Primary (Deferred) 2007-2008
Studied two years at university for my Bachelor of Education where I studied the units
Teaching and Learning and Supporting Learners with Diverse Abilities. During the unit of
Pedagogy in Practice (1) I got the opportunity to teach a class where I had students with
Autism and ADHD in which I felt I was able to connect with them to help them learn. I
deferred to take on my full-time role with Vikings Futsal.

Caringa Enterprises have also put me through the Cert IV course in Disabilities, which was
conducted by NovaSkill.
Skills In 2003 through to 2007 I was requested to be a leader of an Anglican youth camp for
primary aged children (years 4-6) named Camp Ichthus. I was partnered with another
leader and looked after a core group of children (minimum 6) for a week in which we took
them on daily activities and taught them to do daily chores.
I am also a qualified level 4 futsal referee and have participated in an international Futsal
coaching course conducted by Mauricio Marques.
I am also recognised as having my Responsible Service of Alcohol.
I have high skills on how to use a computer, I am efficient in using both Apple Macintosh’s
and Windows based platforms. I am skilled at using all Microsoft Office programs. I also have
good common knowledge on how to fix problems on a computer and other electronics
throughout a household. I can type at a rate of 54 words per minute.
I hold a current full NSW Driver’s License and am more then capable of driving a manual
vehicle.
I have a current First Aid Certificate.
I have completed training in Ostomy and Stoma Care, also Urinary Catheter and Urinary
Device Care and S.a.F.E Fire Training
