RESEARCH EXPERIENCE:

Independent Study:

Method development and validation using electro-analytical methods such as Differential Pulse

Polarography (DPP) and Simultaneous Equation Method (SEM) using UV spectrophotometer.

Worked on Antidibetic drugs (Metformin hydrochloride, Roziglitazone maleate, Pioglitazone

hydrochloride, Chromium picolinate, single as well as in combined formulations and vitamins (Vit

B, B6, B9 &B12), macro-elements (Folic acid, pyridoxine hydrochloride, Ferrous Ascorbate, ascorbic

acid, Zinc, Copper in combined formulations.

Research Assistant:

Worked as a Co-coordinator and research analyst at Dr. P. S. Ramnathan Advance Instrumentation

Centre (PSRAIC) at Ramnarain Ruia College,Matunga,Mumbai

Projects worked on:

• Initial Method development (qualitative analysis) for Jasmine extract, essential oils,

pesticides (malathion from lake water) using GCMS QP 2010 ULTRA (SHIMADZU)

• Detection of extractable and leachable components in pharmaceutical vials, containers using

GCMS QP 2010 ULTRA (SHIMADZU)

• Sample analysis using UV 1800 DOUBLE BEAM SPECTROPHOTOMETER

(SHIMADZU). Samples analysed: Schiff based samples, natural dye (marigold extract),

organic samples (pyrazoline, carbazide derivatives), Herbal samples, Nano- partical (gold and

silver) samples.

• Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy AA7000

DOUBLE BEAM SPECTROPHOTOMETER (SHIMADZU). Samples analysed :

Biological (plasma), soil, lake water, herbal and Bhasma samples

• Method development for wine samples using GC 2041, AOC 20 i (SHIMADZU)

• Study of physical properties such as using calorimetric analysis - DSC 60 (SHIMADZU) for

Inorganic complexes, nano particles and various pharma drugs
