Project: Aviation Line of Business, Insurance application maintenance

Role: Team Member (Developer)

Description: This web-based application aims at providing the facility to

the Underwriter assistants to create quotes and policies. Policy creation

involves information storage for the insured, insured objects, premium,

broker, coinsurer, instalments in different components. The policy details

are sent to the DB 2 database in the form of batches through ODBC

connection.

Another mainframe application also serves as the front-end for the DB2

database, which is required for making manual entries into the database.

And E-primera is used as an interface between the Lotus Notes and the

mainframe application, so that the mainframe application can be directly

accessed from the Lotus Notes web application.

Project: Claims application for Marine, Property and Aviation Line of

Business

Description: This client-based application aims at creation of claim

entries and sending the data to a third party vendor through text files for

claim data validation. After the data is validated by the third party and

the Government claims department, updating the data from text file with

correct status in the Lotus Notes database. This deals with the whole life

cycle of claims starting from the initiation of the claims till it is

successful.

Project: Reinsurer information application

Role: Team Member (Developer)

Description: This client-based application aims at creating Reinsurer

information like Treaties, Participants etc and sending the data to a

Sybase database. Lotus Enterprise Integrator (LEI) application is used for

building connection with the Sybase system. Virtual activities are

scheduled to enable real-time transfer of data from the Lotus Notes

application to the Sybase application.
