Experienced Supplier Development Manager in planning, managing, and
executing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for all sourcing and
product change activities within existing and new assembly operations.
Responsibilities including:
Planning and implementing activities related to the timely, cost-effective
procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production
materials.
Developing, implementing and maintaining policies, procedures, and
material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and
implement solutions.
Sourcing and supplying raw materials, utilities and outside services, as
well coordinating global procurement efforts. Coordinating with
financial/accounting on matters involving inventory carry costs. Reviewing
and planning requirements for acceptable inventory.
Manage the entire supply base to ensure all suppliers are registered and/or
compliant to the quality system requirements of TS-16949.
Support Corporate Purchasing & Logistics and Parts in the selection of
supplier's by assessing their quality capabilities and system effectiveness
before the placement of business and working with manufacturing and part
distribution centers (PDC) to assist in improving first time quality.
Multi-disciplinary teaming at all organization levels and negotiation with,
Reliability & Quality, and key supplier organization/locations in support
of Purchasing & Logistics, Manufacturing and Parts Operations.
Functioning as the central resource with design, manufacturing, quality and
test, and marketing as the product(s) move to completion and distribution.
Leading engineers who are involved in the design, modification, and
evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products from
product definition through production and release.
Perform supplier quality systems and process audits and lead Supplier
Improvement/Development Programs
Lead supplier advanced product quality efforts in coordination with
engineering and program management through launch of New Product Programs.
Work closely with program management in the development and implementation
of program and part specific timing plans that achieve PPAP targets for
launch and pre-production build events.
Lead Supplier Quality representative in the identification and escalation
of emerging program issues that impact supplier readiness.
