Experience:

I have been involved in the research field of experimental and theoretical

Solid State Physics. During the research work, I have undertaken the

Compton scattering based measurements of some semiconductor compounds,

which are very useful for the defence purpose. I have also worked as a

junior research fellow in a defence ministry funded research project

entitled "Characterisation of some technologically important semiconductors

using Compton scattering technique".

I had worked on Lead and Mercury Halides and some Heusler alloys using our

FIRST INDIAN 20 Ci 137Cs Compton spectrometer and FIRST EVER shortest

geometry based 100 mCi 241Am Compton spectrometers and also synchrotron

based magnetic Compton spectrometer installed at SPring8, Japan. I am also

computing the theoretical data using band structure calculation code {LINUX

based programmes (CRYSTAL03 and WIEN2k)} and both the theoretical and

experimental facilities are available at Compton profile laboratory, Deptt.

of Physics under Prof. B. L. Ahuja. The title of my thesis work was

"Electronic structure of some transition metal halides and alloys using

Compton scattering technique".
