I underwent a structured orthopedic training program (from June.2010 to

Sep.2014) in the specialized units of trauma, pediatric orthopaedics, sports

medicine, ilizarov fixation, arthroplasty, spine and oncology. This included,

1. Single handed active management of complex trauma patients including leading

roles in attending mass casualties and triage of poly-trauma patients with ATLS

protocol, in Vydehi medical college and a Level-1 tertiary trauma center of Sparsh

hospital draining three states’ (Karnataka, Tamilnadu & Andhra pradesh ) patients.

2. Training to perform minor and major Orthopaedics subspecialty surgical

procedures and management of Orthopaedics emergencies.

3. Taking active part in paper presentations, Journal club meetings and CME

programs as part of the postgraduate training.

4. Active First assistance and many free hands performance in various paediatric

deformity correction surgeries in ‘Sparsh Vachana’, a free deformity correction-

program for about 100 children for 2 consecutive years with well known national

and oversea surgical faculties from UK and USA.

5. Active life member of Karnataka orthopedic association and Indian orthopedic

association.

6. My orthopaedics dissertation during my Post graduation training under guidance

of Dr Sharan S Patil was titled :

“CORRECTION OF CONGENITAL KNEE DEFORMITIES IN CHILDREN

USING GUIDED GROWTH TECHNIQUE- EIGHT PLATES”
