Description-

SEI is a wealth management company which supports a full range of

investment products.

Corporate Technology Services (widely known as CTS) is in turn a critical

team which is responsible for providing development and support for

internal or external file transmission through FTP or NDM. The

transmissions are setup through SQL server, scripting and scheduling by

using industry available tools and in house built applications.

The CTS team is spread globally with a total of 27 team members providing

24 X 7 supports. The day to day activities of CTS Team revolves around

providing:

. Production Support

. User Support

. Transmission Enhancements/ Development

It is CTS Team's responsibility of ensuring smooth data transmissions so

that various functions of SEI and their respective Clients may take care of

the critical financial data processing, analysis and decision making.

Role/Responsibility-

My role involves providing maintenance and production support to SEI

Investments.

. Production support - Queue watch - we look in the Magic Queue to see

the status of the incoming requests or any job failures and resolve

all the requests and issues on time to meet the SLA.

. Developing and delivering new product or product enhancement to the

existing products to the clients.

> Connectivity verification with different servers

. Windows application: This process consumes the web services from

different servers and run once the data or the files are delivered

from the client side. The production was build using SQL 2005, C#,

ASP.NET, Server.

. VB Script creation and modification as per the client requirement

. Fire wall of different server and client sites

. Creating and modifying procedures so that SQL injection can be removed

which can help in resolving the issue related to non-authenticate

queries and users.

. Providing support for all kinds of production issues.

. Distribution/Queries/Status update for weekly Work Release and Q-

watch.

. Responsible for enhancing automated processes

. Responsible for the GMO Operations in the offshore. Effectively handle

all the issues coming during this operation.

. Working on client/server environment (SQL Server 2000), specifically

writing DTS packages to access data, manipulate with mathematical

formulae and calculations.

. Fully responsible and accountable for deploying automated processes

using CA Scheduler as per client requests.

. Knowledge of JCL, Datasets, and scheduling in mainframe.

. Fully responsible and accountable Jobs setting up FTP sites.

. Creation of INI file used by VB script to pass parameters to mainframe

jobs so the required operation will be performed to get the expected

result.

. Implement SSIS packages in SQL 2005 environment in support of project

to deploy ETF trading application.

Production support task involves providing development and support to any

issues that faces up in production. It requires strong technical knowledge,

excellent in client interaction and good domain knowledge.

Job Description as Functional Analyst:

. Analyze and document requirements for the newly identified domestic

custody model

. Co-ordinate with all regions for requirements, to ensure completeness

. Deploying Crystal Reports

. Facilitate discussions with SME's, PMO and IT team
