Personal Statement

I am a hands on, performance and results driven team leader with four plus years of experience in executing outside

machinist duties for the manufacturing and construction of shipbuilding and overhaul. This includes setting up machining

equipment on the naval carriers to install major components to meet construction key events. While serving in the US

Navy as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician Mechanic, I performed work which required emergent outcomes to meet the

Navy’s agenda. I successfully graduated from the advanced apprentice planning program for Northrop Grumman.

Work Experience

Production Planner and Scheduler 2 (January 2008 – February 2013)

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (Newport News, VA, Formally Northrop Grumman)

• Direct the overall daily operations of the Change Management Team involving Inspection Reports

• Perform daily and weekly reports to support progressing as well as task out schedules to team members

• Worked with Systems, Applications and Products Software (SAP)

• Task and ensure emergent work is done in a timely manner to support construction and waterfront schedule

• Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to

ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed

• Responsible for installing and testing the ship’s major machinery and other mechanical components, generally

dealing with nuclear related equipment on new construction according to the blue prints, procedures and protocols
