Maintenance Department (2007 – 2011), Gas Processing & Utilities Division, PETRONAS

Gas Berhad (PGB), Terengganu

Job Responsibilities at TSD:

- Plan, establish, implement, evaluate & coordinate the project initiation activities such as

the project execution plan (PEP) and project budget as well as project tendering plan or

contracting strategy and to facilitate project approval by relevant Approving Authority (AA).

- Supervise and coordinate project engineering activities with the Engineering Section &

Users (Operation and Maintenance) such as Conceptual Design and Basic Engineering

Design activities through data compilation, studies conducted, evaluates and exercises

considerable judgment to solve project engineering problems under variable conditions in

order to ensure engineering control system are in place and in accordance to the project

execution plan.

- Assess, evaluate and ensure the approved engineering deliverables e.g study, drawings etc.

are produced timely for smooth transfer to the relevant parties through expediting,

meeting, reviewing, discussion, circulate to other relevant personnel for further input in

order to ensure compliance with the construction and project execution plan & timeline.

- Evaluate and analyze the pre-qualification of potential bidders & project cost estimates and

implementation of tendering process through consideration in terms of nature of work,

technological aspects, value of tender, availability of licenses/ registered company,

commercial value etc in order to ensure proper selection of suitable contractor.

- Plan and inspect the procured material and assess the performance of service providers

through inspection and test activity and the result shall be recorded on appropriate

inspection form. Verify acceptance or non-acceptance of the deliverables to ensure

compliance to the contract and project requirements

- Coordinate and liaise with client/ users/ area owner at all phases of the in order to ensure

issues are resolved accordingly as well as meeting the client/ user (PGB management,

operation etc.) requirements for the smooth project execution and implementation.

- Evaluate, supervise (if required by the client/ users) & coordinate the site activities

performance and progress as well as the crew during all phases of the project in order to

meet the quality, Health Safety & Environment (HSE), schedule & budget requirements

- Review and recommend the construction and commissioning plans, procedures, manuals

and schedule through expediting, meeting, reviewing, discussion, circulate to other

relevant personnel for further input, perform joint site visit with Contractor for better

project progress judgment and revision, notify Project Manager on any critical issues

encountered in order to ensure the construction and commissioning activities are

performed as per schedule and in compliance to the contract requirement

- Update Project Manager on regularly basis on the status of project deliverables, project

manpower and project execution plan through weekly / monthly meeting to ensure timely

resolve of related issues and project progression and updates

- Plan and coordinate the project risk assessment, project independent review, team

building, and lesson learnt session through preparing the necessary data (design

parameters, operating conditions, etc), Process & Instrument Diagram (P&ID) and package

it into suitable format for the presentation during the review session to ensure compliance

to the Quality Assurance practices and quality project deliverables

resources through Maintenance Best Practices, in compliance with safety, quality and

2011 - 2012: UPS upgrading at Gas Processing Plant A (GPPA) and Export Terminal (RM 2 mil)

2012 - 2014: Arc Protection System installation at GPPB 6.6kV feeders (RM 1.5 mil)

2012 - 2014: LV switchboards upgrading at GPPA (RM 1 mil)

2012 - 2013: Cathodic Protection System upgrading at GPPA (RM 1 mil)

2013 - 2014: Main Control Room upgrading at Export Terminal (ET) (RM 2 mil)
