PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN

Indus trial Projects

-C based 4bit Data Compression & Decompression

Encoding data to take up less storage space and less bandwidth for transmission.Digital data are compressed & decompressed by finding repeated patterns of binary 0s and 1s.

-Inter process communication using pipes,fifo & s ynchronisation using semaphores

In this project the requests are sent by the requesting clients to the server which further invokes the processing clients,which compute the required result and route back the result to the clients via server.

FTP based Client Server using Linux,Threads and Network Sockets FTP client-server architecture project using THREADS and SOCKETS is implemented using multiple clients threads with unique user name, password and corresponding accessing directory in the server can access the server in order to retrieve or send the files.Socket allows the clients to access the files from the server over the local area network .The clients are provided with GET,LS and PUT utility just like in FTP server.

-Character Device Driver Development

Project aims at developing the Character Device driver for SCULL which is treated as a device & performing various operations like read,write,lseek,ioctl,proc.The data is transferred and received from the scull memory with proper synchronization mechanisms like Semaphores,Completion and Blocking IO.

-Parallel Port Device Driver Development

Project aims at developing Parallel Port device driver.The Driver is developed for three modes Compatibility mode,Nibble Mode and Byte Mode .All the registers of Parallel Port have been studied and configured properly.

-Prototype of Low cost “ EXOSKELETON SYSTEM ” for physically impaired people.Design a low cost exoskeleton to facilitate walking for paralysed people and those with little strength to stand and walk .Prototype assist movement using servo motors which are synchronized with eachother so as to follow the human leg movements.

-Designed a project on Persistance Of Vision controlled by TV remote using RC -5 protocol on 8bit controller AVR.TV remote controls the device, select different modes of operation according to which our design

functions.

Academic Projects

-Designed a Java based shopping portal with GUI & DBMS connectivity.

-Design of a Smart Watch with functionalities like setting current time,password based device

control,messaging & door security system.Watch is interfaced with Graphic LCD P CD8544 for

displaying text,a touchscreen for control & gsm SIM900 for messaging.

MATLAB based security system based on image processing and speech recognition using

FFT.This project recognize any disturbance in surrounding in form of image & noise which

further activate a alarm system in case of any security break.

ACHEIVEMENTS AND EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

-Co-ordinator in technical team of Electronics Hub of the college .

-Initiated a technical environment in the college by introducing technical events- WIRE JUNKIES and FACE-ELECTROBOOK during annual fest of the college .
