• Scope of work: Migrate property management PHP/MySQL system to a ASP.NET/SQL2005 environment and
provide enhancements
• Approach: Agile rapid application development methods were used to create each module of the property
management system.
• History – Childress Klein Properties is a fortune 500 company that is the biggest commercial real estate
developer and property management company in the south east. We were able to successfully create a
property management system in PHP with a MySQL database. It worked much better that the old Lotus
Notes/Dominos system. The system was in place for about 7 years. Enhancements were needed to support
other web sites and company needs.

Scope of work: To provide a secure way of feeding data to public web sites. Childress Klein
has a website that allows potential customers a way to search for retail, office and industrial

job was to develop a method to provide data for public sites such as the Childress Klein,
Promenade on Providence, Rivergate, Duke Energy Center Info site, One Wells Fargo, and
Three Wells Fargo Info sites. The data is maintained through our APPCENTER 5.0 property
management system.
Programming Language: VB.NET, XML

Web Server – IIS7, IIS6
o Project Management/System Analyst
APPCENTER 3.0 property management system
Scope of Work: The current property management system was keep track building, tenant,
vendor, lease agreement, broker, owner, and contact information using a Lotus Notes/Dominos
database. I was in charge of developing a plan to migrate the current data to a relational
database and allow users to maintain the data through a web based interface.
Approach: Rapid Application Development - I used agile methods to implement this system. By
putting the system into production through modules. We were able to build a high quality
system at a fast paste. We chose to create the buildings, tenants and vendors as the first
modules because all of the other modules were dependent on them. We perform requirements
gathering, analysis using diagrams such as ERD, Activity, and object sequences. Users were
able to review the diagrams and we were able to implement the code base on the diagrams.
Agile methods – The software development life cycle was repeated for each module(tenants,
vendors, leases, buildings, contacts, owners, and brokers) until the users were satisfied. Once
a module was proven satisfactory, it was pushed to the production server.
Project management tools – Microsoft Project, Visio
Software Development tools - ZEND Studio, MySql Control Center
Programming Language – PHP
Database – MySql
Web Server - Apache

conditioning, humidity, lighting, and access control. One Wells Fargo is 40 story building in downtown
charlotte that uses this system. The system has been in place since 1988. My job was to write a
graphical user interface for this system. The building engineers had to type in commands from a
command prompt to control the air conditioning and other things pertaining to the building. I had to write
a graphical user interface to make their job easier.
o Programming Language: VB.NET, Window Forms
• Property Management Contact API
o Scope of work: Employees entered vendor, tenant, owner, home owner, and broker contact into our
property management system. The contacts needed to be available to Property Managers through
black berries or IPhones. Users needed an API that would allow contact that are saved in the property
