Entrusted by the executive committee to establish new operations in Brazil utilizing a completely different business

model (A 3PL Supply Chain Solutions Provider) from parent company in the U.S. that accomplished the following 3

items: 1) Grew business to $300 million in annual revenue; 2) Developed a comprehensive business plan and made

strategic acquisition; and 3) Diversified client base and product offerings to create strong market value for company.

Assumed responsibility for Saia’s non-asset based brokerage and logistics business that in 4 months grew the business

to set revenue and profit records. Consequently, changed business model and revised marketing approach while

simultaneously recruiting strategic hires to fill key roles.

Led Wal-Mart private fleet maintenance organization during years of 50% to 100% year-over-year growth. Created

SOP process that subsequently became the strategic plan for growth integration methodology for all aspects of

operation: construction, hiring, systems, training, vendor alliances and global sourcing needs.

Prepared and executed a competitive business plan at Saia that rejuvenated aging fleet/terminals and executed culture

changes within the maintenance organization that was not previously valued or respected within the rest of the

company. As a result, achieved an overall improvement in company image in the market place and reduced

maintenance cost using lifecycle costing philosophy.

Improved branch sales at Goodyear by closing a multi-million dollar, multi-year deal with UPS in Dallas to supply all

tires for their fleet of package trucks within the first 6 months of employment with the company.

President Saia TL Plus and VP Maintenance & Real Estate – Scope of duties consist of establishing new controls and

processes within the maintenance organization that improved service and reduced cost for the company. Responsible for

guiding and motivating 400+ employees with an annual operating budget of $600 million, and capital budget of $100

million.

Discovered new ways of improving fleet asset utilization by more than 20% within a 2-year period.

McLane Company, Inc., Temple, Texas (Left due to illness in family, returned to U.S.) 1993 to 2011

(A U.S. $44 billion, 120 year old wholesale grocery distribution and supply chain Solutions Company. From 1990 to 2003 was a whole

President 3PL Operations Brazil, International Division (1997 2011) – Charged with establishing and growing the

international division based in Brazil for McLane Company, a global food wholesaler and food manufacturer with 117

years of history in the industry. Led and motivated 1,300 employees with an annual operating budget of $300 million.

Played a key role as President in increasing company’s revenue and profit margins by more than 50% for 2 consecutive

years by winning significant new accounts in new industry segments.

Improved company service metrics and quality initiatives as VP of Operations by implementing ISO 9001, 14000 and

OSHA 18000 certification programs in all operational areas.
