factory to meet the required acceptance level. According to the standards

IPC (Association Connecting Electronics Industries)

Divertimatico, Guadalajara, 2003 to present

Owner

Manage points of sale with video game machines and jukeboxes,

Analyze the performance of each machine and evaluate its relocation to

increase profitability.

Achievements

I developed cost / benefit analysis, profit margin with a margin of error

of 5% in the ROI.

I assembled and program 50 machines to operate 18 points of sale.

I opened a working route in the southern state of Jalisco to the operation

of such machines achieving in some cases displace competition, by providing

better service.

Test In-situ to repair the vending machines in route reducing broken

machines for failures due operation, (reducing down time)

HITACHI de M xico El Salto Jalisco, 2003-2008 (FAB process)

Engineering Team Engineering Team leader Dec 2006-Jan 2008

I coordinated a group of 10 engineers to accomplish and monitoring yield

improvement and follow 8D projects.

I provided coaching on statistical tools for data analysis used in yield

improvements projects, increasing yield by 5%.

Coordinate and I administered the FMEA process to identify the root causes

of problems and their solution.

I provided coaching on Db2 (QMF) queries programming for a daily monitoring

of both output per employee per workstation, as well as by type of batch

and type of defect generated etc.

I did program queries for monitoring the daily trend of the different

product contamination defects, (Db2 using QMF)

I prepared weekly status reports for senior management process.

I generated information with actions items to improve responses to customer

complains

I did use DOE on critical variables to detect and improve the processes

Achievements

Increased productivity by 7% by monitoring automatically (through queries)

production throughput per workstation as well as the 40% decrease in the

rate of defective (dppm) by operator by taking immediate action in their

solution.

Implemented a predictive monitoring system on backend workstations with

high defective index, making an early defect detection and segregating the

material on time.

Contamination process engineer Jun 2004-Dic 2006

I made programs (Queries in DB2, QMF) to monitoring the daily trend of

defects by product contamination.

Coordinate a group of 4 technicians for the collection of qualitative and

quantitative laboratory analysis of material samples.

Generate reports 8D and coordinate working groups of the 3 areas to

identify defect generating sources.

Achievements

Use of tools such as DOE statistics, hypothesis testing, Pareto charts and

control limits etc. To detect and take action to reduce defects due to

contamination from 7% to 3%.

Perform queries to identify non-conforming material batches and

automatically segregated in each workstation thus preventing its shipment

to the customer.

Process engineer (Slider FAB) Mar 2003-Jun 2004

Propose, manage and control activities of the cutting process, such as

continuous monitoring of variables through control charts.

Coordinate a group of four engineers in the monitoring and implementation

of continuous improvement actions and preventative maintenance.

I made a new cutting program that improved cutting quality and decreased

cycle time by 20%, supported by a design of experiments,

I made a measurement systems analysis (MSA) including GR & R, ANOVA,

keeping equipment reliability measurement

I programmed in Db2 (QMF) queries in order to monitor the productivity per

workstation and take action in not conforming situations with procedures

Achievements

I generate a measurement program based on statistical inference achieving

100% accuracy decreasing the measurement cycle time by 75%

I helped start the qualification cutting process of the Shenzhen China

facility achieved the 20% optimization in cutting cycle time thus increase

thruput capacity.

IBM de M xico El Salto Jalisco, 1998-2003

Process engineer (Slider FAB and Wheelroom) Dec 1998-Mar 2003

With the use of DOE, I developed a new technique for the preparation of

cutting blades, this increased on 3x the blade lifespan.

With the help of statistics tools (DOE, control charts, etc.)

the process was optimized to decreasing the downtime on changing equipment

blades from 120 to 45 minutes. (62%)

Implemented control charts in both areas to monitor changes in critical

variables and take action against non-compliant situations.

Use and practice the 5S culture in blade preparation area to maintain order

in the process.

Set queries (QMF) to monitor each blade used, and evaluate their

performance.

Achievements

Optimize the process, by slowing down time on changing equipment knives 120-

45 minutes, increasing the blade performance in 4x and therefore

With the new technique of preparation, I saved an average of 250 k USD to

the company annual blades consumption.

.
