CAREER PROFILE
Senior Piping Designer / Mechanical Designer
I have been in the chemical and thermal power field for 20 years,
working with AutoCad, Rebis 3D AutoPlant and Intergraph PDS. Assigning
and checking others work as various tasks are completed. Organizing and
maintaining the project to meet completion dates. Making sure that
drawings meet the companies current standards and guide lines. Verifying
equipment connections and making sure drawing follows the most current
marked up set of P&ID's from process. Running clash detection with all
models to ensure interferences are corrected prior to drawing being
issued for construction. Traveling to job sites to oversee installation
of piping and trouble shooting problems that arise that were not
addressed in the 3D model. Working with Foremen and superintendents on
job site, as well as Construction Engineers to maintain schedule and
quality of project. Acting as liaison between home office and
construction site as well as working with customer representative on job
site to solve customer requests including interpreting contract issues.
Issue Field Change Requests for approval by home office, review and
approve Field Notices of Change for back charges to
vendor/construction/engineering/customer for work having to be done that
was not within the original scope of work for the project or work that
had to be done due to piping design changes, vendor equipment that came
in not per certified drawings, construction locating equipment or piping
incorrectly. Supervising and checking others work to make sure the
completed drawings meet company and industry standards including good
sound design and drafting techniques. Mentoring of those at lower job
descriptions. I am highly motivated with good leadership skills, a self
starter. Having coordinated projects and the personnel assigned to the
project, assigning job tasks and organizing the project to keep it on
schedule. Including working with other disciplines, vendors, catalog cut
sheets and previous projects to obtain the information required to
complete the task.

oil and gas industry. Using Bentley 3D software. produced 3D models of
piping, equipment and structure for the projects. Produced 2D

design lead for 2 projects, designing the piping and equipment and
structure in 3D models using Bentley 3D software. Checking equipment

plants in 3D, running isometric drawings and working with the data

vessels and piping by laying out the required piping for the vessels and
