Migrated as Assistant Vice President and Director of Information Systems for Starcraft Automotive Group, a multi-site, multi-division major RV manufacturer from a legacy custom system to a full featured ERP system. This was prior to Y2K and the project was delivered on-time and on-budget. The planned productivity gains and improved efficiency provided the expected ROI.
Redesigned as Director of Information Technology for Starcraft Marine their Web site in 2007 to permit the Sales Department to enter full product specifications and photos directly. As a result, this significantly reduced time to market, improved customer inquiries, and substantially enhanced overall customer satisfaction.
Entrusted by Alltrista Consumer Products Company senior management with transitioning their facility in Canada from MAS 90 ERP to SAP R3, which proved instrumental in developing a consistent platform for all business activities. As planned this produced more accurate and timely financial information, and improved on-time deliveries via EDI.
Deployed wireless technology on the shop floor for Stoughton Trailers, LLC in the production area. This allowed supervisors access to vital information in a timely manner from wherever they were and saved more than 50 man-hours weekly in time walking to their office to obtain this information from their desktop computers.
Developed a Radio Frequency (RF) barcode system designed to track chassis inventory for Starcraft Corporation on more than 4,000 van chassis and improved staff efficiency by 20%. The new system produced ROI in less than 1 year while generating accurate and timely information to meet production, purchasing and sales needs. It improved response time to customer inquires from hours to less than a minute.

One of the top four semi trailer manufacturers in the US.
Director of Information Technology – Scope of duties consist of managing all IT related systems and staff, including computer hardware/software, network, phones and Web sites. Additionally, managed department budgeting and long-term and short-term planning (road maps). Report to senior management on project status and the State of IT.
Managed the project to migrate this multi site company from Novell to Microsoft Network. This included changing from GroupWise to Exchange Server (Outlook) for email and from Novell to Windows on multiple servers that supported over 400 PCs that were also upgraded to the latest version of Office eliminating many compatibility issues.
Starcraft Marine, Topeka, Indiana 02/2004 to 03/2008
A long standing premier sport boat manufacturer.
Director of Information Technology – Primary duties focused on managing all electronic equipment and systems such as computers, network, phones, Internet and Web sites. Responsible for budgeting, determining ROI and managing all projects, the infrastructure and UPS (power backup). Administration of the ERP system and database. Programming and managing outside consultants.
Updated their Syteline ERP application to the latest release 6.02. Reviewed all custom modifications and reprogrammed those needed or found standard software capabilities to replace all others. We employed an outside consultant to help with the major programming needed. The result was improved system utilization reverting back to using standard system functionality whenever possible and easier less costly future software upgrades.
Alltrista Consumer Products Company, Muncie, Indiana 12/2001 to 03/2003
Manufacturer of Ball jar lids and distributor of consumer products to major box stores.
Manager, Corporate IT – Responsibilities included supervision of all IT staff and managing all computers and communication systems. Reporting to management on IT project status, concerns and problems. Incorporate Strategic Plans into the IT Roadmap. Project management, backup and recovery processes, disaster recovery and system reliability.
Managed the installation of a conference room audio/video system. This allowed direct contact with their many remote locations and significantly reduced travel and improved meeting quality.

A major RV manufacture with a Marine Division, Automotive Division and RV Division with multiple locations.
AVP/Director of IS – Managed all IT functions through several major company organization and ownership changes. Supervised staff of systems analyst/programmers, database administrator and operations staff. Worked closely with management to keep IT in sync with long term goals.
Administered the Progress database and managed program changes to separate 3 divisions and 6 plants so they could access and update their own data (security control). This was prior to being acquired by an investment group.
Migrated the company from Remote Job Entry (a service bureau) to an in-house Burroughs (Unisys) mainframe. Custom developed a manufacturing computer system and integrated Lawson Accounting. Hired the staff to operate the system and develop new programs, installed all hardware, software and network.
Migrated from the mainframe system (above) to networked client servers running Symix/Syteline ERP.
