Dear Sir

Dr. Reddy's Foundation (DRF) is a non-profit partner of Dr. Reddy's

Laboratories. DRF main interventions in two sectors Livelihood and

Education. Since 1996, DRF runs a program Livelihood Advancement Business

School (LABS) under Livelihood. 100 LABS centres spread over 20 states in

our country.

LABS addresses the needs of youth (18-35 years) who are constrained by low

income levels, inadequate skills, irregular employment, absence of

opportunities for training and development, family indebtedness and little

bargaining power at the economic or social level.

The LABS process begins with a livelihood mapping exercise. Courses for the

local LABS centre are determined by consultation with industrial

professionals. After mobilizing the aspirants they are selected for a

course which is suitable for them based on an 'interest inventory test.

After the selection process they have to go through life skills-oriented

induction program, classroom training, which includes computer and

Communicative English and work readiness module which teaches them to

prepare their resumes, face interviews, cope with workplace-related issues,

and balance their personal and professional lives. An Individual Youth

Development Plan (IYDP) monitors the aspirants' personality development

through the course. With the help of a Business-to-Youth (B2Y) network,

entry-level jobs are made available to the aspirants in various sectors.

Currently we have 6 LABS centres all over Kerala (Alleppey, Ernakulam,

Kollam, Kottayam, Kozhikode, and Palghat). Dr Reddy's Foundation provide Rs

4000/- as scholarship for each aspirant. For the successful completion of
