Provide Executive Search Services to F1000 and SMB clients within the U.S. and Canada.
Business Development - Identifying, sourcing and closing new clients. Activities included closing and
negotiating a major exclusive contract with an industry leader in the Document Management & Imaging
business. Negotiated contract T''s & C's (numbers and types of openings, budgets, due dates, fees) and
conducted sourcing, interviewing, reference checking and on boarding candidates. Offered value added
fee base services for clients including; job description reviews/rewrites and video conference interviews.
Project Management - Administered and conducted searches for sales, marketing, engineering,
operations, software development, customer service, finance, legal, manufacturing, consulting and other
positions. Employ various search methods including; sourcing, internal database look-ups, candidate
referrals, Internet (Linkedin, social networking, industry association member directories and job board
employee databases).
Accomplishments
• Won a 3 year exclusive source contract with a leading Document Management and Imaging company
for the placement of: close to 50 positions in major cities throughout the U.S.. Positions included account
executives, sales managers, sales directors, pre-sales engineers, product managers, marketing and
marcom specialists, operations managers, product managers and consultants. Out of 50 openings, was
personally responsible for the placement of 24 individuals resulting in billed revenues of $2.4M and total
recruiting fees of fees of $420K.
• As the contract phased out, initiated and closed new business development efforts culminating in the
signing of contracts with Siemens, San Disk, Verizon Healthcare, First Rain, Silicon Labs, nCipher
Security, Agilent Technologies, Sentinel Data Centers, Legal firms (Crowell & Moring, LLP and Crowe &
Haworth) recruiting patent attorneys and tax attorney's and with Telecom Corporations (Arisent Telecom
and Amdocs) recruiting a corporate counsel and a labor/employment attorney. Base salaries of placed
candidates ranged from $80K to $160K.
As the economy plunged beginning in 2008, expanded our recruiting efforts into other sectors including
Healthcare and Education.
• Additional business development efforts included participation and attendance at various industry trade
shows and partnering with other recruiting firms on mutually agreeable recruiting opportunities.
American Recruiters, Ft. Lauderdale, FL Manager Recruiting 1998 - 2002
Reporting to the Director of High Tech, assisted in building a new IT recruiting desk for American
Recruiters.
• Met with Lucent executives to identify placement opportunities and was selected by Lucent's VP of
Professional Services to assist in staffing a new Consulting Group. Closed initial contract for 10
consultants with technical backgrounds in voice/data/wireless networking solutions. Project completed in
6 months beating client's objectives by 30%. Generated Billed revenues of $1,250K (based on $125K
salary per position) and recruiting fees of $250K (based on 20% placement fee). Exceeded revenue
objectives by 20% first year. .
• Developed new client opportunity with the VP Sales, for a start-up optical chip manufacturer
headquartered in the Midwest Region, Nanovation Technologies, Successfully signed agreement for
building a new sales organization consisting of account managers and sales support professionals.
Recruited 3 sales account managers and 4 pre-sales system engineers for locations within the Northeast
and Midwest. Project completed in 6 months, resulting in staffing fees of $76K plus opportunities for
follow-on staffing assignments.
• Closed contract with Dell Computer for a VP of Manufacturing located in Nashville, Tennessee. Value
$66,000, was second largest placement fee in American Recruiter's history.
• Closed contract for 2 wireless test engineers with Tellular Wireless, Inc., a fixed wireless supplier located
in a Chicago suburb. Value $20K per position, $40K agency fee...
• Closed other miscellaneous projects with Sprint, McLeod Wireless and McKesson Pharmaceuticals.
AT&T/Lucent Technologies, NJ Director Network Planning 1985 - 1998
Held various marketing, sales and consulting roles within Lucent and AT&T. Focus was on selling voice
and data networking products and services, to U.S, and Global Telecom Providers (PTTs) and
Corporations. Led a team of 4 Network Systems Consultants (direct reports) and up to 10 Bell Labs
Engineers (indirect reports), on contract management and consulting assignments. As Director -
Asia/Pacific Network Planning Studies, helped influence the sale of over $300M in follow-on Switching,
Transmission and Operations Systems products/services to China, Taiwan, Thailand and Japan. As
Project Manager - Wireless Applications Engineering, assisted Lucent in the sale of the following projects
