I was a work-study student in the Writing Center at Paris Junior college. There I helped students
write papers, edited, and typed papers for Mrs. Joan Mathis, ran a copy machine, answered
phones, and helped students use Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007.

I studied basics at North Lamar.
At PJC I received an Associate’s of Science degree. Was nominated and received Who’s Who
Award.
TAMU-C I received a Bachelor’s of Science degree. Made the Dean’s list every semester. I
studied psychology, was a member of APA and Psi Chi, went to the South Western conference,
and was a member of the equine club.
In experimental psychology I worked on a placebo pain study and received compliments from

the faculty and students pertaining to my part of the study.

While at school I noticed that when it came to group work I was always the emerging leader.
LEADERSHIP
Someone else would start out as the group leader and as the group progressed people tended to
gravitate to my ideas and look to me for leadership.
