responsible for security posture on deployed vessels, and respond to threats of piracy, criminal
acts, and terrorism. Maritime Security Operators provide armed international maritime security
aboard sea-going vessels. The duties will require personnel to observe and report suspicious
illegal activity as well as protect vessels against maritime piracy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide general guidance to the Crew and carry out drills, training and preparations for
the Transit as agreed with the Master Advising and/or assisting with the hardening of
the Vessel in accordance with Owners’ instructions and, where applicable, in
accordance with the guidance of BMP Monitor suspicious vessels or craft during the
Transit.

Main consideration of a maritime security operator is to ensure the safety of the crew vessel
and cargo. MSO will assist and conducted training and risk assessment on board vessel so the
master and the crew can continuous normal operation without destruction or disturbance of the
pirates’ armed groups

Knowledge and Skills Requirements: They must have good oral communication skills and
possess an outstanding customer care service. They must be familiar with the traffic law and
signs on the streets and follow them. Drivers should know the different and common places of
short cuts, one way streets, etc. Finally, drivers are expected to have skills in solving basic
mathematical problems like computing the total amount of fare, change for the fare and
others.
Working Conditions: Drivers are expected to work anytime from Mondays to Sundays
including holidays and disregarding the type of weather for the day. They are expected to assist
passengers with heavy luggage so they must be physically fit.
2000-2002 Philippine Navy, (MARINES )Armed Forces of the Philippines
Work as Enlisted Personnel in the regular force of the AFP from 15 January to August 12
2006. Was assigned in different units of Philippine Navy MARINES to include Special Operation
Force at MBLT-8 Special Company. And had served as Tactical Battalion sniper and performed
various special operations such as, tactical operation, search and rescue operation. To obtain
obligation to search and reconnaissance the area of the enemy, and to give moral and welfare
of our comrades.
Riflemen are the primary scouts, assault troops, and close combat forces available to the MARF
(Marine Air and Ground Task Force. They are the foundation of the Marine infantry organization,
and as such are the nucleus of the fire team in the rifle squad, the scout team in the Light
Armour Reconnaissance (LAR) squad, scout snipers in the infantry battalion, and
reconnaissance or assault team in the reconnaissance units. Non-commissioned officers are
assigned as fire team leaders, scout team leaders, rifle squad leaders, or rifle platoon guides.

• The mission of this SOF is to organize, train, equip and provide rapidly deployable forces
and conduct unconventional warfare in all types of operational environment in support
of MBLT-8 mission.
• The Special Forces specializes on the following: unconventional warfare, direct action;
special reconnaissance; psychological warfare and mass base operations.
• Its corps’ capabilities are: direct action, jungle warfare, special reconnaissance, and
sniping operations.
• The mission of this battalion is to conduct counter-terrorist operations in support of
Marines Command mission.
• Light Reaction Company (LRC) troops are skillfully trained on the following corps’
capabilities: surgical close quarter battles and vertical insertion, hostage rescue
and personnel recovery, elimination or capture of notorious terrorists, and target
interdiction.
The Special Operations Force conducts three primary qualification courses to
•
provide its personnel with the foundation of knowledge and skills on special
operations.
• The Special Operations Forces is conducted to provide every Special Forces trooper the
foundation on unconventional warfare and highly specialized combat skills.
• The Lead Scout is heavy on direct action and operations that provide the knowledge
and skills attuned to conducting operations.
