Engineering
In this position, the Vice President of Corporate Engineering
entrusted many diverse and exciting duties to me, his 'right
hand'. Through my interest and experience in human resources, he
delegated supervision of the department's support staff to me.
In that role, I coordinated the workload and improved
productivity through quality management, coached and mentored
staff, and executed performance reviews. I also wrote job
descriptions, interviewed prospective staff members and assisted
with new employee onboarding.
As a trusted member of his team, I attended and often
participated in senior level management meetings where I
prepared presentations and documented findings. In cross-
divisional venues, I represented the Engineering department by
facilitating focus groups, typically on performance management
and quality. This exposure provided me the opportunity to
liaise with other divisions. This successful collaboration was
best seen through conference planning. Working individually and
with the team, I provided pre-conference and on-site support for
engineering and safety conferences owning the responsibilities
of venue selection, meeting material coordination,
participant/speaker/vendor contact, registration, room lists,
catering, audio visual and special activities.
Coordinator VI (1993 - 1996): Pfizer Corporate Engineering and
Manufacturing Tech Services
Supported the Vice President of Engineering and Directors by
handling travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, writing and
proofreading correspondence, and assisting in sensitive areas

managed all departmental events.
Coordinator V (1989 - 1993): Pfizer Corporate Engineering and
Manufacturing Tech Services
As a member of the Construction Field Office, I worked closely
with project managers and clients to maintain project schedules,
attended and documented construction meetings, prepared cost
estimates, and worked closely with contractors to assure their
invoicing was timely and accurate. In addition, I managed small
construction projects. During this time, I also served as
administrative liaison/event planner for the Greater New York
Construction User Council and supported Pfizer's annual
international engineering conference in Sarasota, FL.
