Responsibilities of cath lab technician .

Assists physicians in managing cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and

cardiac arrhythmia in the cath in the care of patients undergoing

Angiography, PTCA, Stent placement, IABP, Placement.

Operation of physiologic and radio graphic equipment in a safe and

efficient manner.

Maintain high standards to achieve quality patient care .

Keep critical skills current.

Patient interaction.

Patient transportation good communication and evaluation of patient status

during the procedure provide specific care prep access site according to

lab standard practice, and perform ECG lead placement, blood pressure and

pulse oximetry setup for hydrodynamic monitoring .

Procedure Requirement.

Unit preparation and breakdown to include fluids preparation with accurate

and drug concentration, stocking rooms narcotic counts, daily QC checks

radio graphic, hydrodynamic and computer setup, and room cleanup prepare

sterile procedure try and patient sterile field appropriately for

specified procedure type.

Observe occupational and radiation safety regulation (wearing badges, lead

aprons, gloves)

Acquire and accurately document pertinent patient data on encounter from

enter into hydrodynamic and x-ray systems.

Maintain sterile procedure, infection control, observe all fluids potency

of catheters, balloons and manifolds, and assist according to physicians

direction. Indent maintain, store and accounting of narcotic drug in lab.

Maintain inventory of consumables drugs, tents and balloons. coordination

of CSSD processes cal liberation,maintenance and complaint handling of

bio medical equipment .
