Electronics/Data acquisition system, May 2012 - till date

Made a data acquisition system which reads data from various sensors on

the car including shock travel sensor, GPS, Tire Temperature Sensor,

Accelerometer,Magnetometer and wheel speed sensor and logged all the

data from these sensors on a pen drive.

Also made a GUI which displays the logged data in proper graphs and bar

formats which makes it easy to analyse the data

The Piano Stairs(Patent filed)

Large flexible carpets (switches) which can be mounted on the stairs or on

the ground. When

stepped over it, the circuit plays sounds of a piano.

The piano stairs had been sold to Somaiya Physiotherapy College,

Somaiya International School.

Also a patent has been filed for the piano stairs.

Team Eta Shell Eco Marathon, Mumbai, India

Electronics head, Jan 2013 - till datePERIENCE

Signal Learning kit-Sensed whether the student is crossing the road on the

correct signal light or

not.If not a warning prerecorded in mp3 format guided the student.

Musical instruments kit-when a card shaped switch with picture of a

musical instrument on it is

pressed a melody is played which lets the student know how a particular

instrument would

sound.

Team Robocon K.j.Somaiya college of Engineering

Manual robot team

Partcipated in a robotics competetion named Robocon.

Developed the manual robot which is a forklift like robot controlled by a

joystick.

It was designed so that a person weighing about 60kg could sit on it and

control the robot

gives the right click.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

K.J.Somaiya College Of Engineering, Mumbai, India

Human response time kit, Jun 2012 - Dec 2012

Full Time

Made according to the requirements of the physiotherapy college.

The kit is used to measure the response time of the patient in response to

di?erent types of

stimuli namely vibration,audio and vision.

The patient has to touch a piezo plate when he/she realises/senses the

stimuli.

The results are displayed on an lcd and stored on an sd card in excel

format

which makes it easy for the consulting doctor to print the report of the

test.

K.J.Somaiya College Of Engineering, Mumbai, India

Depth detector/avoider robot without a microcontroller, Jan 2012 - May

2012

Full Time

Second year engineering project

The robot has a logic circuit which moves on a table and avoids the edge

of the table and thus prevents

falling off from the table

The project consists of two electronic units

1.Data Acquisition System-Uses a texas instruments ARM cortex M4

microcontroller.

Logs the sensor data on a micro Sd mmc card.

Sensors used are shock travel sensor, wheel speed sensor(Honeywell),

tire temperature sensor (melexis),force sensor(flexiforce),engine

temperature,engine rpm,

gear position, accelerometer and magnetometer.

Live telemetry to with the pit using xbee pro.

A graphical user interface for the data acquisition system using Labview

2.Driver interface -display critical parameters required by the driver .

Parameters displayed are engine rpm, engine temperature and gear

position.
