Experience

- I completed a yearlong undergraduate research program that culminated in a poster

presentation of my project.

- I am familiar with cell culture care, cell transfection, mini prep, Luciferase assay,

carrying out dilution schemes, aseptic techniqur, and running an electrophoresis gel.

- I have dissected and studied the body systems of several whole animals, and a sheep

brain and eye.

- I worked as a laboratory aide for my college’s chemistry department, which involved

preparing chemicals and materials, answering student questions, and monitoring students

in the professor’s absence.

- I interned on a farm, assisting with the care and enrichment of numerous animals.

- As a member of the student council of Mary Washington’s Catholic Student Center, I

organized weekly dinners and receptions designed to feed 50 people and coordinated set-

up of and participation of students in daily masses and devotional practices.

- Through the Catholic Student Center, I participated in various humanitarian projects

including constructing cement floors for homes in the Dominican Republic, rebuilding

houses damaged by flooding in West Virginia, Participating in outreach effort to

economically disadvantaged people in Washington, DC, and Clearing litter from the bank

of the Rappahannock River
