Capital Projects Office

December 2006 – July 2014

Director of Capital Projects Office. Supervised Staff of (10), including Construction and GIS

Departments. Developed and managed entire Construction Program for this Community. During seven

year tenure, administered One Quarter of One Billion Dollars ($250,000,000.00) in Capital Improvement

Projects. Also served as Community Building Official.

Representative Projects:

Water Reclamation Facility (1.2 mgd) and Infrastructure Improvements $50 million

Surface Water Treatment Plant (2.25 mgd expandable to 3.18 mgd) $20 million

UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle (174,000 SF/44 acres) $80 million

These projects were each awarded Arizona Water Associations top award; Wastewater Project of the

Year, Water Project of the Year and Re-Use Project of the Year respectively. The WRF was honored by

the Arizona Masonry Guild. The Multi-tainment Center was recognized by RED (Real Estate

Development) as Best Mixed Use project. The WRF also received the International Bentley Imagine

Award.

Public Works Metro Facilities

November 2004 - December 2006

Project Manager for maintenance, remodeling and construction projects in facilities throughout the City

of Phoenix. Administered Annual Test and Inspection Program for Life/Safety Systems in over 80 City-

owned facilities. Initiated and oversaw repairs of Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler Systems and preventative

maintenance of Elevators and Fire Extinguishers. Prepared specifications for inspection and maintenance

contracts. Responded to emergency repair requests and provided "Seamless Service" to all customers.

During my two years with Metro Facilities, I had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects for

many City departments, including Cultural Facilities and Service Centers. My background as Project

Manager, strong organizational skills and in-depth knowledge of construction, especially Fire/Life

Safety systems, contributed most positively to my success there.

In addition to overseeing the Fire/Life Safety program, representative projects include; Fire Sprinkler

Replacement/Ceiling Renovation at the Phoenix Art Museum Great Hall; Emergency Water Line Repairs at

Phoenix History Museum/Heritage Square, Sound Abatement projects at the Union Hills Service Center,

Remodel of Restroom/Locker Facilities at EMD North Shop ($370K) and Complete Remodel of

Administration Building and Equipment Shop at Salt River Service Center ($3.6 million).

warranty.

In eight years with ADOA, I managed projects in most of the buildings on the Capital Mall, from sump
