analysis of my Cell. Based on the findings I led the Cell Team in the achievement of Co-plan cost, OEE
(Overall Equipment Effectiveness), productivity, EH&S, waste, conformance to plan and quality targets.
Technical Support Manager, SMD Supply Chain, British American Tobacco, Bangladesh Jan ‘11 –
Jul ‘11
I planned and executed all the maintenance works to up-keep the strategic machines for business
continuity with a team of three Maintenance Engineers and forty skilled Technicians within the Revenue
expenditure budget of 4.5 million USD per annum. An additional responsibility was to lead technical
projects for capacity enhancement (Capital Expenditure Projects).

I translated functional plans to shift plan and to execute them with available resources and managed Team
Leaders for optimum performance to deliver the factory KPIs (maximization of productivity and quality

I managed 120 permanent unionized employees and 60 contractual employees to achieve the business
goals (production, quality, wastage, etc.) in the most effective manner.
Career Highlights
As Quality Services Manager I played instrumental role in launching Quality Awareness Program
as a part of Annual Quality Cycle Plan with tools like Statistical Process Control and House of
Quality.
I successfully led a project on SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) to enable quick
changeover from one SKU to another in 2013. The concept was modified to be used in the related
industry and improved changeover time from 74 minutes (2012 average) to 38 minutes (YTD
average 2013) yielding a total savings of 300K USD.
As a Cell Manager I led my cell to contribute to an annual 2.3% increase in OEE (overall
equipment effectiveness) through improvements in productivity which contributed in helping the
function to supply additional 9% volume from the factory in 2012. This made our company the
market leader with 4% gap in the overall national share.
