Plant Manager, (2005 to Present)
Oversight and administration of the day to day operations of a high
volume, lean manufacturing facility with 400+ employees generating over
$65M in sales and operational budget of over $4M. Coordinate and
prioritize the activities of production, maintenance, engineering,
quality, safety, and product development personnel to meet customer,
plant, and management requirements. Ensure effective use of manpower
and production equipment. Maintain vendor relationships, including
negotiation of quality, price and delivery of raw materials. Manage
the environmental and safety program to ensure compliance with
corporate policy, government authorities, and customer social
compliance programs. Support sales team as technical expert when
meeting with retail customers. Direct reports include seven department
managers.

Manufacturing Manager, (2002-2005)
Responsible for achieving safety, quality, cost and schedule compliance

Selected Contributions:
( Led manufacturing through implementation of Continuous Flow
Manufacturing, utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles that resulted in
lead time reduction from 21 days to 5 days, work-in-process reduction
from $2 million to $250 thousand, and a 20% reduction in head count.
( Nominated and served on the core team for a corporate wide
implementation of an ERP system (J.D.Edwards OneWorld) with a project
cost of $85 million.

Production Control Manager, (1995-2002)
Responsible for supply chain management of $8 million in inventory to
support $65 million in sales. Ensured on time delivery and minimization
of inventory. Interacted daily with all levels of the organization
including production labor, demand management, purchasing,
merchandising, sales, and plant management. Managed the MRP and
capacity planning activities. Direct reports included two scheduling
clerks.
Selected Contributions:
( Two years running of the highest service levels in the corporation
at 98% on time deliveries.
( Designed and implemented reward program that led to over $150,000
in annual savings.
Plant Industrial Engineer, (1993-1995)
Primary duties included identifying cost-reduction projects,
maintenance of all incentive rates, product costing, methods
development, capital justification, capacity planning, and facilities
design. Redesigned facility allowing for efficient product flow,
increased packaging capacity, reduced material handling, and improved
inventory procedures.

KANTUS CORPORATION, Lewisburg, Tennessee, 1992 to 1993
A just-in-time automotive manufacturer and largest supplier to Nissan
Motor Company of injection molded, foam molded and instrumentation parts.
Industrial Engineer
Duties included the design of operator processes for the painting and
assembly of injection molded parts. Developed standards for injection
molding, foam molding, and painting departments. Designed returnable
packaging. Interacted with Nissan engineering department in solving
quality and packaging concerns.
