Bank of America is one of the largest commercial banking service
providers in the world which provide credit card services to large retail
institutions like Target, Best Buy etc within North America. The merchant
reporting group within the firm wanted to enhance their data reporting
strategy henceforth improving the efficiency of their current
processes. This project involved development from scratch i.e. high/low
level design, code development, testing and implementation of the
Merchant data warehouse (MDW). The project included designing and
developing one of the bank's biggest data warehouses of approximately
19TB. It mainly focused on developing ETL mapping from source to target
database.

MnM was created to consolidate data from five A/R platforms (CRP, Optima,
Triumph, CARS and Canada Globestar) into standardized data feeds to be
used for marketing purposes.
MnM had primarily 10 types of data feeds, used by 20+ interfaces, about
150+ daily, monthly and ad-hoc jobs have a dependency on MnM
processing. It was one of the biggest Mainframe data warehouse
application migration/Re-engineering in American Express using
Informatica power centre & Power exchange. This was a 100% offshore
driven delivery.
