1. Worked in ESSAR Steel for 6 months as Graduate Engineer Trainee in Hot Strip Mill Operation

from June-2005 to December-2005.

2. Worked as a Deputy Manager from December-2005 to August-2012 in Steel Meltshop

Operation at JSW Steel, Dolvi.

Worked as a full time Shift In-charge of Melt Shop having following facilities-

Two ConArc furnaces (4 shells 200 MT capacity) with different charge mixes such as

Hot Metal + DRI, Hot Metal + DRI +Scrap, Scrap +DRI, 100% DRI, 100% Hot Metal

2 Twin Ladle furnaces

1 Fixed Vessel Vacuum Degassing unit

2 Thin slab CSP Casters and Hot Strip Mill

Responsibilities-

Charge mix decision making as per raw material availability and desired steel grades.

Coordinating with plant production cell for Caster sequence and Steel grades.

Furnace Operation, Crane logistics decision making during plant operation.

Monitoring of caster sequence and speed and decision on which grades

Furnace refractory condition monitoring after tapping each heat.

Feedback on performance figures of shift to plant head.

Training of shift crew members.

Responsible for maintaining safety of persons working in Meltshop.

improvement projects in steel making.

Meeting with customers for Technology presentations for Steelmaking as well as Gas

based DRI making.

Investigating the area for improvement onsite and suggesting customers the ways and

means for cost reduction and improvement in the existing facilities.

Assisting Sales head in investigating the enquiries for Meltshop and gas based DRI

making and decision making on ways to proceed.

Technical specification preparations for the enquiries floated by the customers for new

as well as revamping of steel plants (Primary Steel making and Secondary Metallurgy).

Business development in Indian market and finding new customers.
