Premier program diploma, January 2010. GPA 96%. Program encompassed course work in the MT core
curriculum of medical terminology, anatomy, referencing techniques, human disease processes,
pharmacology, lab medicine, technology, and medicolegal aspects of healthcare records. Program also
included course work in English language/medical style and grammar using AAMT/AHDI Book of Style,
referencing techniques, and the beginning, intermediate, and advanced medical transcription practicum.
Transcription practice was completed using the Beginning and Advanced SUM dictations from Health
Professions Institute, which included completion of 33 hours of acute care specialty operative dictation
using the Surgical Transcription Unit SUM tapes.
Experience:
09/02/13 – Present ABMDT – Medical Transcriptionist. (Independent Contractor)
Performed medical transcription reports as scheduled including physical therapy daily notes, discharge
summaries, etc. ; as well as cardiology consults, letters, etc. I am currently working in the Emdat
platform, which I have worked in previously on another assignment.

Performed medical transcription at Advanced Health Care for 40+ nursing homes in a clinic
environment/physician’s office for geriatric and clinic dictation. Also assisted with maintaining patient
database, answered telephone for the department, researched procurement of new dictation system and
any other assignments as requested.
1999-2004 – Independent contractor through employment agency doing temporary
job placement at University Hospital/Methodist Hospital.
Departments I worked in were Pulmonary/Sleep Center, OB-GYN, Maternal Fetal, and Cardiology. I was
placed there for almost 4 years before the hospital system outsourced our jobs.

in EMDAT platform, as well as Escribe, and specialty software utilized in the hospital settings. I own Stedman’s
electronic versions of medical dictionary, drug lookup program, and various books for speciality practices. I own 4
tower computers, as well as 2 Dell laptops that have Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows 8.
