The vast majority of laptop/desktop at PayPoint currently running on the
Windows XP operating system and as this operating system will be at end
of life (EOL) in April 2014 and runs out of support on 8th of April 2014.
The Windows Office 2003 applications' support also runs out on the same
day so all the users laptop/desktop should be upgraded to Windows 7 - as
a result of this compatibility testing should be performed for all the 75
PayPoint applications which are developed in .Net and VB technology and
also migration process of 50 Ms Access Applications from their older
version to MS Access 2010.

Automated Account Switching is an Industry initiative and the
objective of the Account Switching Service is to provide a robust service
that enables personal, business (Microenterprise), charity and trust
banking customers to fully switch their current account seamlessly from
one bank to another in seven working days (a Full Account Switch). The
accounts covered by this service are UK Sterling current accounts
including personal and business current accounts.

delivery of Internal system and Industry testing
Responsibilities
* Understanding the Industry service definition provided by the industry
which covered 7 day Switch IN, Switch Out, Partial Switch Out and
Debit and credit forwarding after the completion of the switch,
payment forwarding using FPS, CHAPS, Cheques and International.
* Understanding Santander requirements documents and the internal
systems to have the end to end testing strategy.
* Reviewing Industry test strategy and test plan.
* Written Pre Industry Test Strategy and plan.
* Attended Industry (UK Payment Council) Testing workshops and meetings

foreign financial institutions to report to the Internal Revenue
Service (IRS) about their American clients. FATCA was designed
primarily to combat offshore tax evasion and recoup federal tax
revenues.
Implementation of FATCA will result in Santander UK plc providing
a broad range of information to the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
in respect of customers with specific US links

PIPE is a Santander Home Insurance Opening and amendment process developed
between Santander and AVIVA.
System was developed to handle the end to end Home insurance opening
process where by collecting the Customers Personal details and property
details in the initial screens. And there are two routes for the Sales
process, Advised and Non Advised.
In Advised route customer was asked for the Needs and the demand questions
based on which system recommended the products suitable for the customer.
In Non advised route customer was directly taken to the production
selection screen where product is chosen, there are two types of products
available, POM PLUS (Unlimited cover) and CHOICES (Limited cover).

This is a Santander initiative to minimise the manual work for the back
office users, this is to process the customer requests with minimal manual
support in the back office.
Customer requests such as Name, Address changes etc will be managed by
scanning the document using the KOFAX scanner under particular batch class,
each of the tasks will have the separate batch call under which the
documents are scanned and then the initial validation is done on the
scanning process and the data captured. Based on the unique customer id
case is created and the updating is made to the customer database. In case
of any errors case can be accessed by back office user, back office users
who has access to the particular queue can access these cases using the
Back office workspace where the scanned image and the front end of customer
database is displayed where change can be manually updated.

Internet and Postal channel was a manual process and was requiring more
back office users to process the Applications, to avoid the manual process
Santander initiated Automatic processing of Retail Banking Accounts/
Business Banking/ Credit Cards/ Savings accounts or ISA is to process the
applications automatically as much as possible without human intervention
from the data already captured in the electronic format. This is to
minimise the need to manually process the applications through the online
process.

Management, Account Transfers
Holding administration is the component in Santander Sales process which
allows the Branch and telesales advisors to process the customer's
requests. All above 4 processes are individual in nature and were developed
and tested in different phases as part of one project.
Once the case is created case would go through the Risk process where we
would get the decision Accept/Decline or refer in case of Refer case would
be go to the Underwriting Queue where Underwriter would to manual review
and give the decision, in case of Accept case would go through the AML
check process, document check process and then relevant letters would be
printed for the customer and then the new product would be activated. This
is the similar process for Debit card upgrade, Overdraft Upgrade,
Participant Management and Account Transfers except the business logic.

built to sell the Retail accounts in Branch and also through Telesales.

stage to another stage is controlled by workflow tool called Tibco Staff
ware.
