Dear Sir/Madam:
Please accept this letter as my formal application for the paralegal position in your client’s
New Haven office. My training and work experience are a good match for the position, so I
hope you will consider me a candidate for the job.
My experience at GE (Global Patent Operations) has been a valuable one; I had the
opportunity to learn and develop computer skills that would be very relevant to this position.
I have extensive experience filing patents with the USPTO, entry data, and document prep.
In addition, my administrative experience has also included coordinating a large translation
request unit and scheduling the various tasks for the attorneys and legal interns at GE. My
past work at law firms has also involved case-file management for a personal injury law
firm; gathering information for the client’s file (medical providers) and working with the
attorney to bring cases forward. My work also includes software programs such as Pacer,
Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Timeslips. I also have done various office duties such
as mailings and document preparations.
I am very hard working and have been told so on a number of occasions. I am also a
responsible person committed to quality work products.
Thank you for taking the time to read this resume.
Truly,
Nancy M. Carroll
