1985 to 1992
Training Operations Manager: Primary contact for customer questions and
complaints regarding the quality, content and schedule of training.
Delivered and maintained a software curriculum and developed new
software/Tier II courses as a joint venture with Bellcore TEC. Maintained
facilities (training switches, equipment and classrooms) in three locations
that delivered training 16 1/2 hours a day. Monitored quality of curriculum
by enforcing course development criteria, determined and monitored course
maintenance priorities, was cognizant of trainee satisfaction, and provided
editorial service for all course material. Oversaw 130+ hours of
receptionist and security service weekly for two buildings. Registered
about 6,000 trainees annually with invoicing in excess of $10 million.
. Coordinated the installation and maintenance of a Training Switch at
Bellcore TEC.
. Forecasted and scheduled training for two shifts in multiple locations
across the US, to ensure that we met the quantity and product mix
demands of our customers.
. Managed a 20 million dollar annual budget that covered equipment,
employees and invoicing.
Technical Training Supervisor: Supervised Tier I and New Technologies
Groups: Personnel supervision included maintaining, scheduling, and
presentation of 25 weeks of training for internal Ericsson personnel and
customers.
. Monitored trainee satisfaction and established instructor proficiency
charts to ensure full coverage of training materials.
. Due to unique qualifications, taught advanced Software Fault Handling
courses to Technical Assistance Center, Design, and Training
personnel.
Senior Technical Training Engineer: Taught basic and advanced Network
Maintenance, Radio Maintenance, and Switching Software courses. Taught the
Advanced Software Fault-Handling course in Sweden and rewrote and then
delivered the course for the US Market. Maintained and repaired the
Training exchanges and prepared them for all scheduled classes. Supported
new documentation by reviewing material for accuracy and ease of
understanding.
UNITED STATES AIR FORCE
1975 to 1985
Wideband Maintenance: Supervised and performed maintenance on Ground Radio,
Satellite, Microwave and Telephone equipment. Responsible for record
keeping, as well as safety and training of personnel. Provided regular and
emergency maintenance of Wideband Communications equipment and all systems
incidental to the operations of Wideband Communications.
. Four years as a technical training instructor.
. Developed and taught courses on basic digital theory and wideband
communications.
