Responsibilities
& Achievements:
Management Skills
• Responsible for managing the Givaudan site’s Plant Engineering organization
which included maintenance, boiler house & facility services personnel. Managed
a total headcount of twenty-five individuals including six salaried.
• Successful implementation of SAP’s Plant Maintenance (PM) module.
• Participated in three plant labor negotiations for the Best Foods site in Bayonne,
NJ. Obtained concessions that simplified contract language resulting in a
reduction in annual operating costs of $250K.
• Responsible for increased packaging line throughputs of between 25-50%.
Operating Budgets
• Responsible for developing & managing the site’s maintenance, utility and
departmental budgets. Annual budgets in excess of $10M.
• Reduced plant budget @ Best Foods site by 25% ($3M) through downsizing, a
shutdown of a deodorizing operation and energy savings projects.
Site Maintenance
• Responsible for overall site’s preventive & corrective maintenance programs.
• Reduced maintenance spending at the Givaudan Flavors site by 10% ($300K)
over a ten year period.
• Experienced with SAP Plant Maintenance module.
Facility Services
• Responsible for the coordination of site-wide facility services which provide a
productive infrastructure for employees & visitors while maintaining a world class
appearance.
Capital Expenditure Program (CEP)
• Responsible for developing and implementing the site’s five year CEP. Annual

Project Management
• Manage & coordinate the activities of external engineering firms, contractors and
internal functional groups (Operations/Marketing/R&D/Engineering).
• Project management responsibility for the implementation of packaging line
projects needed to support the introduction of new products like Wendy’s
Milkshakes & Mazola Soybean Oil.
• Project management responsibility for the design & construction of a salad
dressing’s facility, containing office and production areas, in the Milwaukee area.
Also responsible for the shutdown of a nearby plant and the relocation of that
site’s personnel. Capital budget in excess of $5M.
• Project management responsibility for the installation of steam generators and a
gas-driven air compressor resulting in energy & labor savings. Capital budget in
excess of $7M.
Plant Environmental & Safety Programs
• Active member of site’s Safety Committee.
• Supported the Process Safety Management (PSM) program at the Givaudan
Flavors site.
• Responsible, as the Environmental Manager for the Best Foods site, for air
emissions, wastewater system, storm water, SPCC, hazardous and medical
waste, Right To Know and asbestos abatement.
