My responsibilities included mentoring and training the entire sales force in the sales of large industrial

gearboxes including both vertical and horizontal products. I helped to drive the sales of all large gearbox

products, resulting in a large increase in sales of these products in the Western U.S. I also created regular

sales bulletins offering advanced gearbox sales training for niche markets while emphasizing the features

and benefits of our entire large gear product portfolio.

From an original sales territory that included Washington and Oregon, I regularly grew my account

penetration and sales volume. In 2002 I was promoted to (co) National Sales Manager, and my sales

territory included the Western half of the U.S. and Canada as well as Mexi co. Hansen manufactures large

parallel shaft and right-angle speed reducers for both industry and wind. Our U.S. headquarters were in

Verona, Virginia and I opened a sales office in the Seattle area. During my tenure as (co) National Sales

Manager the sales of Hansen products went from $4 Million to over $30 Million in less than 10 years. I

also helped introduce large Hansen industrial gearboxes to many new industries including mining, water

treatment, energy, material handling and wind turbines.
