GENAVCO is a major supplier of the above-mentioned products and it has
contributed to almost every project in the UAE infrastructure development
program. This achievement is the result of the dedication of its staff and
the excellent after sales service.
I joined GENAVCO since 1988, right after my university graduation in a
position of Mechanical Engineer, at the time in my division I was solely
responsible for a turnover of Dhs 1.2 million with a nett profit of Dhs
300k. As I grew the business, the work load increased to such that in
1991, I was promoted to Workshop Supervisor and the staff of my division
was increased to 40 with an annual turnover of Dhs 18m and a Nett Profit of
Dhs 4.86m. I generated this sales and profit increase by motivating my
workforce via an innovative monetary incentive scheme linked to quality
work, regular and intense training to keep abreast of current and new
technologies and finally through thorough planning.
My career continued to develop and in 1993 I was promoted to Asst Service
Manager with 50 staff reporting directly to me, an annual turnover of Dhs
20m will a Nett Profit of Dhs 6.8m. Embracing and refining the same
strategies that I had used, I also focused on quality control and onsite
problem solving.
And finally in 1995 I was promoted to Service Manager with 60 people
reporting directly to me, annual turnover of Dhs 24m and Nett profit of Dhs
8.3m. As part of my new portfolio I was invited and became a member of the
Board of Management. This entailed me apart from the above, came the added
responsibility of Strategic Planning, Marketing, After Sales Service
support and Companywide training.
All during my career growth, I was fortunate to have a team of highly
qualified mechanical engineers, electronic engineers, electrical engineers
and highly skilled technicians reporting directly to me.
We were handling running repairs; repair estimates, quality assurance,
trouble shooting, hydraulic systems repairs, complete transmission
overhauls, complete engine overhauls and dyno-testing engine/transmissions
in our state of the art dyno-testing facility. PDI and commissioning of the
newly sold equipment (products). We also responsible for warranty issues
for the newly sold products and spare parts. We also conducted regular
technical training for our engineers and technicians in our accredited
training center (accredited by General Motors Company)as well as we have
conducted training for many engineering students from emirates university
and technical higher colleges in this training center. I have resolved a
manufacturing defects problems in different heavy equipments for many
different international manufacturing companies such as Samsung heavy
industries, South korea, Hamm compaction rollers co, Germany, and compair
Holman compressors co, uk.

Position: Technical Manager
In 2004, I was personally hand picked to head what was perhaps the most
prestigious project in the entire career. I was personally asked by Mr
Sultan Bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai holding & Dubai ports international
co., to be the Technical Manager for the world largest personal mega yacht
166 meters long, owned by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al
Maktoum. The prime Minister of UAE & Ruler of Dubai
At the time of my joining, the project was behind by schedule but I have
contributed in minimizing the completion period. I achieved these stunning
results via using all the skills that I had painstaking learnt in Genavco.
They included:
1. Implementation of quality control.
2. Innovative motivation of workforce.
3. Integration of efforts amongst all divisions
4. Regular enforcement of team spirit.
5. Putting a platform in place that enhanced communications skills via
proper exchange of information amongst all departments.
6. Instituting daily progress meeting versus planning primavera program.
7. Increasing the supervisor to employee ratio to ensure quality work
and expedition of the completion period.
My most commendable work was in my personal negotiations that recovered the
FULL warranty coverage for all main propulsion engines, Gensets,
compressors,and other equipment on this Mega personal yacht.

I joined Al Marwan group as Technical and Service Manager.
This group they have a huge fleet of heavy construction equipments they
have around 1400 equipments for their plant hire and their contracting
divisions.I Was fully responsible for all activities of the service
department such as carrying out complete overhauls, troubleshooting,
preventive maintenance etc. and making sure to keep all the equipments
in a good running condition.In this company I have made major improvements
as well as a huge savings in the consumption of spare parts and fuel.such
improvements had been achieved through the following
