Dear Roger:
We are now very close to deciding how the "new" Esso Petroleum Canada
will organize itself to fulfill its mission in the future.
The contribution that you have made as a member of the so-called "L.C.
Organization Team" will be remembered as a most impressive and valued piece of
input in our decision-making process.
We know you worked long and hard under severe time constraints to produce
your products. On behalf of the Downstream Leadership Team, I would like to
express my sincere appreciation for your effort.

Dear Roger:
we would like to take this opportunity to formally recognize the significant contribution
that you made as coordinator of the Lubricants Business Team.
Due to the nature, size, value and scope of this project and of course the two different types of organizations; the task was
onerous, complex and considerable. The role you played as coordinator required significant resolve, patience and long
hours and is indeed appreciated. Your contribution permitted us to achieve our goal and
to keep the core business in good shape.
We invite you to take your wife out for dinner at the restaurant of your choice as a small token of our appreciation for a job well
done.
We wish you every success in your new endeavors and again compliment you on your contribution to MERGER 1989.
