• Conduct crew briefings and ensure crew members are proficient. T heir knowledge relating to

safety, emergency equipment, emergency procedures and first aid must be sufficient to

successfully perform duties as assigned on a f light in normal and emergency situations;

• Ensure all crew have read and signed Company Safety memo’s;

• Allocate appropriate working positions for each Cabin Crew Member;

• Ensure Cabin Crew Members have relevant documentation pertaining to the f light i.e.

M anual, license, permit, logbook and passport (if applicable);

• Provide active leadership of Cabin Crew Members, both on and off the aircraft. T he SCCM

m ust lead by example setting high standards for passenger contact and needs;

• Guides and assists the Cabin Crew Members in the performance of the duties;

• Where necessary provide “Conflict Management” between crew and passengers;

• Actively solicits passenger and crew feedback;

• Looks for ways to improve and enhance the quality of service offered.

• Completes all necessary paperwork, including the Flight Report for each f light assignment,

catering documentation, and cabin logbook entries.

• Attending a pre-f light briefing, during which air cabin crew are assigned their working

positions for the upcoming f light. Crew are also informed of f light details, the schedule and if

t here are passengers with any special requirements, such as diabetic passengers, passengers in

w heelchairs or the number of infants on board;

• Carrying out pre-f light duties, including checking the safety equipment and security checks,

ensuring the aircraft is clean and tidy, ensuring that information in the seat pockets is up to

date and that all meals, drinks and stock are on board;

• Welcoming passengers on board and directing them to their seats;

• Informing f liers of the aircraft safety procedures and ensuring that all hand luggage is securely

stored away;

• Checking all seat belts and galleys are secure prior to take-off;

• Making announcements on behalf of the pilot and answering questions during the f light;

• Serving meals and refreshments;

• Selling duty-free goods and advising passengers of any allowance restrictions in force at their

destination;

• Reassuring passengers and ensuring that they follow safety procedures correctly in emergency

situations;

• Giving first aid where necessary;

• Ensuring passengers disembark safely at the end of a f light and checking that there is no

l uggage left in the overhead lockers and no stowaways or suspicious items on board;

• Completing paperwork, including writing a f light report.
